For anyone smart enough to have quit 4chan long ago, it's pretty much exactly like Boxxy. Oh, damn... And here I was thinking that I actually liked the show; I didn't realize I watched 10 hours of MLP in 3 days and changed various avatars to Rainbow Dash to fit in with the /b/ crowd. That's how it started, I honestly don't care how you got into it, so long as you keep all your "brony" stuff confined to this thread. Pony fans remind me way too much of obnoxious furries to tolerate. It seems hardly fair to classify a group of people that like a show as furries, a "group" that I'm definitely not a fan of either. Wouldn't kill you to be a bit more open-minded. I'm not calling you furries, I'm saying you have a lot of similar traits with them. "Bro hoof" and an incredible zeal for trying to be overly cutesy for example. Really, fandoms come and fandoms go, but few are as obnoxiously blatant as ponies. With the way you all act, even discounting the ones that want to taste ponyass, you're rather close to how that guy described you, ruining websites everywhere. When suddenly a few dozen forum member get pony avatars, start posting like pony fans do, and overall just act like they're some part of secret club, it gets horrendously annoying for a lot of people.
You judge the wide range of people who like this show as one single group, which is just horribly stupid and insulting. Even if i ignore that MLP avatars shouldnt annoy anyone in any way, this is not /b/. This is a TL thread, not 4chan, why are a group of people who are mostly new to this show and happen to enjoy it be more harmful than, for example the people in the Game of Thrones thread (which i am a part of too)?
Liking this very well written and joyful kids show does not equal spamming every thread and harrassing the whole forum. And no, 5 pony pics on 2 pages of the random pic thread do not count.

Can't say I like it very much...a bit just too girly to get into my way of enjoyment...(it's not just the character but also the voice acting is a bit too childish)

+ Show Spoiler +I was so happy they made the episode about how all the big events you are looking up to for months or years tend to not be fun at all if you just show up as a passive participant, only becoming enjoyable if you make something of it yourself. I think it's a nice moral for young girls to learn and so maybe if they are ever obsessing about prom when they're 17, they'll be the wiser for it.
Not sure if I'm ready to enter fandom, but if I ever get a daughter, I'll make her watch the show. Assuming society hasn't collapsed at that point in time. ^_^

It's a reboot of the classic My Little Pony franchise, I think the previous generations of the show had a similar theme song (at least the very beginning part) maybe thats what you're thinking of

Anyway, to keep on topic I've watched...11 episodes now. I plan on watching the whole season. It's a pretty nice show. Teaches good morals. It really takes some getting used to the idea of me watching a girls show about ponies, but as long as you've got an open mind you should enjoy it.
Still not sure who my favourite pony is. Maybe Rainbow Dash? Hrm...

I've only watched the first 5 episodes so far, and this show already definitely has some endearing qualities. While the plot structure and characterization was kind of weak in the first 2 episodes, I assume they're kind of just boilerplate to get the introductions and setting out of the way.
The best moment for me so far was the Good Will Hunting reference in the Applebucking episode.
To all the neighsayers out there, this show isn't a huge troll. Watch it!
