No, this is not a joke/trolling thread. We don't need more filler posts asking if it is.
Remember to spoiler season 6 content, and clearly label your spoilers. |

Lol, that didn't take long. Please read at LEAST the first page or some of the notable posts in the OP before you guys rush for the reply button the second you see ponies and magic in the same title.

Awful thread, ponyfags are ruining the internet one site at a time.

Copied from TL Ten Commandments
"Don't be a drama queen martyr. TeamLiquid isn't colonial America or Tienanmen Square. You do not need to preemptively declare "I'm going to be banned for this..." or "ban me, I don't care." Our Moderators ban for good reasons. If they read someone acting like a martyr, they'll simply treat it as a request to be banned."
You shold probably do a little more reading there...

So you question the mental state of a large group of people, who you dont know, solely based on the fact that they enjoy a show, that you never saw, which happens to be made for children? I must say you do not seem like the most open minded person ive ever met. I hope that someday you'll learn to think outside of your stereotypes and prejudgements, which to be honest are often signs of a weaker mind. Those things are holding you and our whole world back.

For expressing the virtue of honesty I have added you to the list of my little pony friendship is magic fans. And highlighted your name in red so its quite visible.
Enjoy being a "ponyfag" with us.

GMarshal, I almost feel insulted that you didn't add me to the list of fans yet
Also does anyone like some of the background ponies here as well? I say we almost need a background pony popularity poll :p
The two most noteworthy ones for me are Colgate and Spitire. + Show Spoiler + + Show Spoiler +

To be honest yes when no one here is a six year old girl it sounds pretty fucked or just lots of trolling,,,

Maybe for the reasons stated in many, many posts in this thread, organized conveniently by the OP?
Pretty obvious that you haven't even tried to watch an episode.

You know, the target audience and visual style of a show are not the only attributes defining it. I dont see how this is not clear to anyone with a brain.

I've been seeing an increased amount of "brony from Teamliquid here!"-esque posts in the comments on pony sites lately. Brohoof guys!
Also does anyone like some of the background ponies here as well? I say we almost need a background pony popularity poll Lyra is best background pony imo.
Somebody said the Day9-Rarity thing on Equestria Daily when my blog got featured there. :O Would be pretty sick. I nearly fell out of my chair laughing when he suddenly started making a lot of horse references in the Liftoff funday monday (which is by the way probably his absolute best funday monday to date, but not because of those. go watch it now if you haven't seen it yet) but then someone in the chat corrected him regarding something and he was a bit confused, so I guess he doesn't watch the show (yet).
Also where are you reading about TL being "infested"? from ponychan/etc. to MLP threads on most non-pony forums where people have heard of TL. this site is pretty well-known and lurked even by people who don't care for SC:BW/SC2 :D

A timeline of events - Ponies get spammed on /co/, /co/ is annoyed -/co/ decides to raid /b/, claiming to like ponies - the newer members of the community, and the more gullible ones think this is genuine - like ponies to fit in with the xD so anonymous crowd - it snowballs - the trolled people from /b/ migrate to /co/
For anyone smart enough to have quit 4chan long ago, it's pretty much exactly like Boxxy.

Overall, I would say I enjoyed it. The first two and the last one episodes were kinda meh, but there were quite a few moments in others that put a big wide grin on my face.
My favorite is (apart from Derpy Hooves of course;) Applejack and Fluttershy. Least favorite is Trollestia closely followed by Rarity. I don't get why people like Rainbow Dash or Pinkie Pie either.
Also does anyone like some of the background ponies here as well? I say we almost need a background pony popularity poll :p Derpy & Dinky Hooves FTW! They are the ultimate d'awwww ponies. Lyra and Bonbon are featured in a lot of fanworks as well, they are an adorable couple.

Oh, damn... And here I was thinking that I actually liked the show; I didn't realize I watched 10 hours of MLP in 3 days and changed various avatars to Rainbow Dash to fit in with the /b/ crowd.

I think I like her because it's, dare I say "cute" when she forgoes her tomboyish personality in various situations. She acts tough but is a bit more complicated than she may seem initially.

It seems hardly fair to classify a group of people that like a show as furries, a "group" that I'm definitely not a fan of either. Wouldn't kill you to be a bit more open-minded.

"Bro hoof" and an incredible zeal for trying to be overly cutesy for example. Really, fandoms come and fandoms go, but few are as obnoxiously blatant as ponies. With the way you all act, even discounting the ones that want to taste ponyass, you're rather close to how that guy described you, ruining websites everywhere. When suddenly a few dozen forum member get pony avatars, start posting like pony fans do, and overall just act like they're some part of secret club, it gets horrendously annoying for a lot of people.

Haha, maybe you should change 'flame/bash/call people fags' to 'ask if we're trolling' in the OP. TL community seems mature enough to keep the pure flaming out but the one question keeps on coming over and over again.

I can see where you're coming from with that argument. However, most of these communities are kept away in their own area, like this thread for TL, where you won't have to be bothered by their "overly cutesy" antics. It seems like any community with its own "in-jokes" or whatever you'd call them would quickly become annoying if they continuously spouted them in areas where they don't belong. Not all fans of the show use those terms you mentioned often, either
Every show will have its annoying fans; most of the TL "bronies" seem very civil and mature, hardly being obnoxious with references (and ones that have been used like bro-hoof have been used in the thread DEDICATED to the show, which you're browsing despite being "horrendously annoyed" by such references). I'd say you should have more of an issue with the people pretending to be a part of a secret club than with the show itself.
