We have Cersei who will be slained by Jaime, but who else? Will Lady Stark outlive this war? Are some characters death-proof like Jon Snow and Daenerys or can the unthinkable happen? Anyone come up with a clever foreshadowing that isn't already a popular prediction? Just curious! The prophecy said that Cersei will die to a younger brother, it didn't specify. And we don't even know who was born first do we? And she has to outlive all of her children anyway if the prophecy is to come true. Yea, I think Jon and Daenerys are death proof. GRRM already made us go through so many of their boring and meaningless chapters, it would be insulting to kill them anytime soon. Jaime says he plans to come clean with the whole Tommen/Myrcella thing, so good chance he dies. If Robert Strong wins trail by combat then Cersei will be spared. Still, I kind of like fucked up love stories and I want them both to just die in eachother's arms while they are being stoned or something. No matter what happens, Varys comes out the winner.
I always had a feeling that either Varys or Littlefinger needs to die; one who gets out informed (or told lies by their trusted informer). And how soon will King Stannis die? Or will he even? I think if he dies and the red priest/Thoros or Melisandra cannot revive him, that will be the wake up call to make red priest realize that Jon Snow is the true Warrior of Light afterall.

Yea. I don't even know what Littlefinger is up to, or even his motives. Is it just gold? maybe he will make a play soon.

im pretty sure i read somewhere that jaime is younger.
the little brother can be anyones little brother, it can also be a nickname or whatever. didnt really say her little brother.

What is the cersei prophecy? I dont see it in the wiki. Maybe you guys could fill some holes for me.
They seem fairly devoid of propecies, did the red god cause the doom?
Isn't John dead, being the 998th master of the wall seems like such an odd number that we will 1000th restore the glory and adoration to the watch by the end of the story, maybe he's alive but needs this coup to release him from his vows to do some good somewhere else? Who will be our POV on the wall then, Mance?

Who will be our POV on the wall then, Mance? When she was younger she bullied some witch into giving a prophecy. The witch refused at first but Cersei insisted so the witch told her that she'd be replaced by a younger queen, she'd outlive all her children and she'd be killed by the little brother.

The problem with that is that the prophecy then has very little meaning if it's practically half the population instead of Jaime/Tyrion.(which, it'll be Jaime)

she told ned to go down to king's landing to find out what happened to jon arryn because of the letter from lysa
then she told robb to not free theon
the only mistakes she made were being manipulated by Littlefinger and after losing 2 of her sons making a desperate attempt at regaining her remaining children.

Anyone come up with a clever foreshadowing that isn't already a popular prediction? Just curious! Lady Stark is already dead (Uncat), unless you mean Sansa with "Lady Stark", in which case I think she at least has quite a bit more story in her (why bother carting her off to the Vale and keeping her secret unless she serves some purpose. I think it's more likely Littlefinger dies than that Sansa does at this point (although I think they will form an alliance of sorts and wreak havoc before all is said and done).
Jon and Daenerys seem pretty death proof for the moment. Cersei will be killed, but we need her children to be killed first. Tommen looks pretty dead. Myrcella is wholly dependent on when Dorne makes their move.

As far as we know, Stannis is dead and the Azor Ahai is Victarion.

She seized an opportunity and did so on information from Littlefinger, whom she did say she thought of him as a brother, which would imply she trusted him like one as well. Lysa wouldn't listen to her and insisted on a public hearing. It was out of her hands.

well there are some notable "little brothers" or i read somewhere that its a sex-neutral term, so could also be little sister apparantly (tho im not sure about that:
could also be
Arya (tho FM rules forbid it) Any of the other living Stark siblings The Hound Loras Daenaerys Stannis
But ye, most likely it is Jaime/Tyrion

why would Jon be the warrior of light? Because he burnt his hand once? Maybe Melisandre brings him back and converts him? I dunno, its hard to imagine him abandoning the old gods. Hes a bastard but he still has the mentality of a stubborn Stark. and hes half a wildling. They follow him because he understands them and doesnt force them to do all that lord of light crap.
If hes dead theres nothing left to hold wildlings and the Watch together. They would probably all do their own thing and fight each other now that so much wildlings are on the other side.

yeah, it can be. For that same reason that people think Dany might be tPtwP(though Jon works much better in a grand sense, being the only person in history to have half First Man and half Valyrian blood)
which makes it half the population, since a lot of people are younger siblings
From a narrative perspective, it works best if it's Jaime/Tyrion, and more so Jaime, since he started the story in love with her and has steadily become more repulsed by her, versus Tyrion who has always disliked her.
that and it makes him King and Queenslayer, having killed both the Mad King and Mad Queen. Would be cool if she threatens to burn down the city, in a parallel of Aerys.

I am just rereading book 3 and she also was a major force going through with the marriages to the freys - in all fairness though after she proposed to robb to consider bending the knee and he rejected that notion to he fullest extent.
I was also quite surprised reading it a second time and in hindsight that it was Edmure who made an excellent point not to go through with it - at least not as quickly and not completely on their terms. He is the liege lord of the freys and they dictating him is under the circumstances sort of understandable, but very troubling and should make you at least a bit suspicious.

I just finished reading book 5. Sad that Jon Snow was killed but i was expecting that. Im mad at the way it happened, without a good fight just like Robbs death.

Very few people think he is actually dead.
