+ Show Spoiler [DwD spoiler discussion] + Anyone else really considering giving up on this series? My favorite storylines: 1) Arya 2) Jon 3) Bran 4) Daenerys 5) Tyrion ..... 6) Anything else Every..single...one of those storylines get fucked in some way or another in DwD. With a title like Winds of Winter, I'm only expecting more characters to die and things to go haywire. Seriously GRRM? Are you fucking serious? All I'll say is Red Wedding Part 2. I can't even make myself write about this book. Fucking fuck.

It can't be. you listed every character there. They can't ALL get fucked.

But my question to TL is what is the big cliffhanger at the end of Feast for Crows? Or is there? Sam gets introduced to Pate, guessing (maybe!?) supposed to be the same Pate from the prologue who got pubstomped by some wizard for a gold coin for something lol. Just altogether seemed like an odd ending so I guess I missed something :

+ Show Spoiler + 1) Arya is blinded 2) Cersi is imprisoned by the church she empowered for being a whore; margaery may become more powerful if proven innocent of cersi's charges 3) breanne imprisoned by lady stoneheart (catelyn stark) and just about to be hung 4) jamie tearing up cersi's plea for help, effectively turning his back on his horrible sister.

Book one was great, Book two was my favorite, Book three was great (lol at Robb, Joffery, Catelyn, etc. all killed in what seemed like less than 100 pages), Book four was okay. I guess it is easiest to say that I am now stoked for Book five just to find out what happened to all these main characters during [whatever span of time] of an altogether pretty uneventful time in Westeros. Just altogether seemed like an odd ending so I guess I missed something :| Pate was killed by Jaqen H'gar (or another faceless man with the exact same facial description that we left Jaqen with), who is now imposing as Pate, and got the keys to some part of the citadel from Pate so that he can walk freely around. Also, we got to know that the citadel's plan is to rid the world of magic and dragons, and that they were responsible for the extinction of the dragons the last time around.

![]() wanted to discuss some spoilered opinions of ADWD as i am one of the "lucky" 180 but will post Martins words from his blog instead: Yes, I know, Amazon Germany screwed up big time and started shipping A DANCE WITH DRAGONS before they were supposed to. I am told that about 180 copies got out before they were made aware of their mistake and shut down shipping. I am not happy about this. My publishers are furious. If we find out who is responsible, we will mount his head on a spike. Some other retailers are making noises about releasing their own stocks early, using the Amazon error as a justification. They are not supposed to do this. If you hear of anyone actually selling or shipping copies in advance of the publication date, please inform me ASAP. I know that the 180 readers who got advance copies are happy about this, but I assure you, my publishers are not. And thousands of other readers are now getting spoiled, most quite inadverently and unwillingly, as they stumble over the spoilers cropping up everywhere on the internet. (Some of the spoilers being posted are false, by the way). Most of those "lucky" 180 are keeping mum, to be sure, but there are always a few jerkwads in any group, and those are the ones who cannot keep their mouths shut. A mess all around. All I can say is, pfui.
