She also sees the following: "A cloth dragon swayed on poles amidst a cheering croud." - Could it be (F)Aegon conquering some place and being welcomed by the people who live there as the rightful ruler? "A corpse stood at the prow of a ship, eyes bright in his dead face, grey lips smiling sadly." - the men of the nights watch who were sent north by John to get the wildlings out return as others/wrights? "A blue flower grew from a chink in a wall of ice, and filled the air with sweetness." - Im not sure if i read about this on TL before, i've forgotten if i have, but this bit seems to rever to the wall (doh), but i make an other/wright from the blue flower, and afaik, they dont smell so they shouldnt fill the air with sweetness. someone has a clue?

It's Lyanna's favorite flower, so it "could" mean that Jon is her son. It's possible that it means Jon will improve things at the Wall, but it can easily mean nothing at all.

If I had to pick someone to sit the throne right now (if there even is one come the final book...) I'd say Stannis will claim it in the end. He just seems like the perfect fit for this story. Likely not especially bad, nor is he especially good as a ruler. Just a cold man of duty and justice. He won't be loved, but he'll be king anyway. Plus he seems to have that lame messiah deal going for him and the Lord of Light is op so... Dany will either die or realize she's better off in Essos after losing almost everything. She'll probably at least retain Drogon though. Aegon may claim the throne but won't hold it in the end. He seems like he's been engineered to be king, he's too perfect. Something will go wrong. Littlefinger will come close but won't have it in the end. Tyrion is too cool for King's Landing Lannisters and Tyrells will destroy each other. Sansa probably would never want to even go back to King's Landing. Jon Snow wouldn't want it. Really, I don't think any of the Starks would. Dorne will fall with Aegon. Stannis it is. i liked your post but i dont see Stannis living enough to sit in the throne. idk if the books said something about it but in the series Melissandre says that his blood has lost power so for me that means he is going to die and never make it to the throne. maybe he will die after retaking Winterfell and Jon woul get there and command the army of Stannis and the former starks bannermans

I was just tilted from playing starcraft so i thought.. yeah lets read the last 5% of a dance with dragons.... and then i read about stupid jon snow making stupid decisions that get him killed... I really liked his storyline but it was clear that he was walking on thin ice. stupid bastard! nothing good happens to starks who ride south. Stupid oath breaker. Boltons bastard is just annoying. I cant wait until he dies.. Im eager to read the next book just to see him die. These books just make people angry...:D When the characters to root for threaten to go extinct you have to look forward to the death of the bad guys.. what else pushes you to keep reading.. :D I fear GRRM gets uncreative with building up and killing characters. Having Varys assassinate Kevan Lannister... Varys and Littlefinger were always the people that were pulling the strings behind the scenes and dont have to give things such a rough bump in the right direction. It doesnt fit the "chaos is a pit" approach from the tv show, but i guess thats seperate from the books and a contradiction yet to come to the tv show. Also GRRM didnt put much effort into Kevan. Its more like an unnecessary side story just to keep GRRM's kill count high enough per book and so his good reputation as a character slayer. HA! you cant hurt me GRRM! Im invincible! So im wondering, is stannis really dead? .. I guess i got spoiled at this interactive map of westeros. Where are those preview chapters of the 6th book? and i dont know what happens to the Nights Watch now.. Jon Snow was the one who held wildlings and nights watch together.. i cant imagine who else could do that. Wouldnt they fight each other now or the wildlings just do whatever they like?

I have always pictured that to mean Stannis as a wight. The blue eyes, as they become when they turn, and casting no shadow, which to me seemed to indicate he is dead. Him being a likely fake AA and being at the wall, I always thought he was gonna bite it soon. I don't buy Ramsay's letter however, the Bolton's are quite unlikely to come out ahead of Winterfell's situation, with all the internal factions, frey-pies, Mance Ryder shenanigans plus an army surrounding them. But who knows.
