Electro-dub (or that's how I've heard it call, it is basically a 'modernized' perspective on the dub genre that borrows for example from electronic/rock/anything but otherwise keeps dub as its core):
Dub Techno (very ambientish techno that uses dub elements, very related to minimal techno in terms of style): <-- 1994
I'd like to start my first post on TL by thanking all the awesome guys and gals here who love dubstep music! This thread has kept me entertained for many hours!
Now, I have recorded this little snippet of really violent and dirty dubstep from dubstep.fm and I couldn't manage to figure out the name of the artist or title of the track. Does anyone know?
amusing to see dubstep and music in the same sentence
and ftr, ambient dub does not stem from dubstep, its not a subgenre of it, it originates from actual dub. which is not short for dubstep. >_< ambient dubstep is cool though.

Well dubstep as most people know it isn't even dubstep anyways. But whatever.
Play something like old boxcutter and people go "wtf?"
