The writing was a little better too. I like that they went back to the old formula of taking a silly concept and use it to sort of illustrate a serious point. The execution could have been much better, that's why I'm giving it 3 meow meow beenz. But seriously, I'm very optimistic. It seems like many of the pieces that made Community great are still there. The whole thing doesn't work well together yet but there's definitely hope.

If the finale episode wasn't enough you can watch this fan send off too. Btw a season 7 is possible, but less likely than even 6. If Yahoo does decide to order a seventh season of Community, it may face some hurdles. Stars Gillian Jacobs and Ken Jeong both have new shows coming up — Jacobs has Judd Apatow’s Love on Netflix, Jeong has Dr. Ken on ABC. http://www.slashfilm.com/yahoo-community-season-7/

Oddly enough, I really loved the very last episode, despite it being so meta it almost hurt. Oh, well. Nothing will ever beat the first three seasons, it seems.

What did the original guys even do this season? Britta was still good though.

Every joke seemed to end in some meta commentary about how they're a TV show in season 6, and that always seemed to be the justification for every crazy adventure they've been in. It kind of stops being funny eventually. It was just too absurd to be taken seriously, and Community has always been awesome because it was more than just a series of jokes. It had heart, too. Nothing will ever beat the first three seasons, it seems. while i agree that nothing will approach the first three seasons the show did a pretty admirable job considering the creator was fired for the 4th season, two major cast members left in the 5th season, and the show ended up online for the final season. there were still some standout episodes in the final seasons and the finale (treating the last episode as a finale in case of some scrubs med school like comeback in season 7) was perfect. overall the show just felt like a friend or lover that you still love but are slowly drifting apart from or not totally crazy about anymore. the only other comedy i can tolerate at the moment is silicon valley and it's a completely different show.
