Go read your books and let us "general public people" get "blown away" by "fancy special effects". Geez get off your pedestal and relax. It`s not like you lose anything by enjoying the visual side of a movie, or the sound for that matter. It`s not all about the lines. no, you totally missed my point. special effects should be used to enhance the total experience of the movie, and supplement the story line (see the matrix) NOT a total substitute for a story line (see avatar). inception is somewhere inbetween. i'm not anti-movie, just anti-idiot.

Also, everytime he threw down the top... to find out if he was in reality or not....he was always interrupted..? and we saw with his wife that his own subconscious was attacking him.... so as if everyone around him was his own projection... and were Attacking him to keep him from realizing it was not reality. So the story was... A man against his own mind.... keeping him trapped in the end.- Possible conclusion? Hmm I wish I could remember exactly what happened everytime with the top I can't. I know I looked somethings up on the internet after I read this thread a few weeks ago. The director says what he wants you take away is that Cobb doesn't care about if its reality or not anymore. A break down of the movie. Also the director approved of this analysis. Also michael cain said that there was a point he was suppose to walk back in the shot at the end but that was taken out. He did also say that the kids clothes are similar but are not exactly the same. http://screenrant.com/inception-spoilers-discussion-kofi-68330/

Shit! THis was presented in a nice box with a bow. THe end scene....DOESNT MATTER! I don't care if it falls or not, that has nothing to do wth any of it. It's not about whether he was or wasnt. Have any of you been in a dream that was visceral? REAL. you were THERE. You felt it. YOu were really there. Same thing. Doesn't really matter, it did happen. Everyone has at least one dream they remember, everyone can relate to this movie. I HATE that chick form juno, but she was alright. I like Di,so what. Acting was great, suspense built and the plot thickened, alliances were questioned, reality was questioned. Come on, quit thinking you're cool to not like this fucking awesome movie, and just concede to the fact that this was movie of the year. One of my favorites. Not only that, I'm actually HAPPY to have paid the 9 dollars to see it. That hasn't happened...Idk. EVER. To each their own, but that's mine.

Also they should have made the dream levels not go slower in time, but be more vaguely in a logical sense (since that is what happens as you fall deeper asleep) and thus for instance making it more difficult for the person to detect a logical error in the dream or harder/easier for inception to occur. A great movie that actually makes sense and is ten times over this movie is a movie called eXistenZ. If you can find it, watch it! That movie has sorta the same theme but really does give you a mindfuck compared to this pseudo science fiction because the science part actually makes sense. So wait, you are saying that this work of fiction doesn't make sense because it makes leaps that aren't 100% proven in a subject that basically has no ground scientifically anyway? I bet you would hate it if the dreams got more vague in each level too. You don't hate the movie because of what it is, you hate it because other people like it.

the 10.0 rating movie for these guys is probably a french cult no one cares movie. Just to be different. Ok..the movie have plots but who cares? was enjoyable. just like avatar. i know is pocahontas 3D...but just feeling the scenario was a good way to enjoy it. anyway...haters gonna hate. about the ending...yeah. its true that cobb perception was "i will take this as real...i dont care" my perception is that it was a dream...whatever. the "plot holes" can make both options valid. so lets just enjoy

It was the firs Blu-ray movie I watched on my HD TV, and I think I made a good choice as I could practically taste the movie it was so clear. About the ending, how else would they have ended it? I saw that coming from a hundred years away, but it was still good. The only thing my wife and I agreed that we didn't like was the whole premise for the inception in the first place. Industrial sabotage? Really? That seems like a pretty weak prop to put the entire movie on. Other that that, it was very enjoyable and looked amazing.

![]() Actually industrial espionage was a better theme then some nationalistic bullshit many other US movies are about.

Anyway from what I understood (last scene) the entire movie was a dream and (possibly) his wife is still waiting for him 'up there'. EDIT: hmm it seems that I might be wrong about the entire movie being a dream - there's a scene at the beginning where the spinning thing actually falls. OR it was his subconscious making it fall so he'd think it's reality. I'm still not entirely sure lol.

[cut back to van falling off bridge] *WRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR* *WRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR* *WRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR* duudududududduudud WRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR I liked most parts of the film. It is an original idea that worked really well with the special effects. However I didn't like the whole stuff about being stuck in the nimbus or however that dream was called. Would be better if the biggest danger was that the target wakes up and is suspicious. This whole I'm getting stuck in a dream and come out as a zombie thing was kinda over the top. still the movie gets a 9/10 from me cause I like all the other parts of it.

This movie was brilliant and had no plotholes.
