Overall I really like the season so far. Was weird initially, because they gave up on individual episodes completely now and it took some time for me to get used to it, but now I really like what they're doing.

So yes, the episode was rather disappointing, but I could see that being the reason, tbh. Overall I really like the season so far. They were expecting Hillary to win. They had to do changes to the episode because she didn't (there was a link on it). Their first preview also had Bill Clinton as the first gentleman, but they took that out as they had to change that and some other scenes. I think next episode will be a lot better though.

I am terrified. Someone help me. Isn't it just the one episode about Canadian immigrants?

Nah, the whole social divide that Trump's campaign was based on is laid out bare throughout the entire season. It explains the huge gap between the media and Trump supporters and so on. It's really stupidly obvious if you watch the whole season during the course of a morning, with Mr Garrison at the center of it all. Unbelievable, really.

Identity politics is the lowest form of political discourse and those who hold it up high or use it to bludgeon their opponents will be purged.

Even Matt and Trey were affected by it in this case. It is a potential social catastrophe that is unfolding before our very eyes. I wish i had been alive during the first half of the last century or towards the fall of the Roman empire to understand what's it like when these things unfold over the span of a generation or two. Reading back is never really sufficient and people are far too unpredictable on an individual level to try and create accurate models regarding these kinds of shifts in society on any significant scale.

Making fun of Yelp/Wholefoods/Safe space/PC/the weird asian drawing thing/... is just trademark south park. It's not the end of society XD
