I doubt garrix or dvbbs had very little to do with producing that track. Sounds vaguely like some of sanders recent stuff but not intricate as most of his stuff. I'm gonna guess it was ghost produced -> slap big names on it -> release on spinnin' -> beatport top 10.
Sucks you can't make it to audien, i've seen him 3-4 times now and he always throws down a solid party. Lots of melodic and big room electro.
Saw aly&fila on friday (just fila actually), john dahlback on saturday, and EDX on sunday. Fila was amazing, although a lot more bass driven tracks than the uplifting i was expecting. Fucked up and blacked out for half his set. Classic. Dahlback was good but he was playing at a club I hate. EDX was playing at this amazing rooftop bar in chicago one of my buddies has a hook up for. Fantastic time. Set was pretty good but honestly pretty much anyone could have been playing and I probably would have enjoyed it. + Show Spoiler [RAGE] +
Hnnnnggg Above & Beyond played for nearly 3hrs last night in Toronto. It was absolutely incredible and my body is pretty much dead now. Cannot wait to see them again in October :3
Edit: So I just listened to Andrew Rayel's new album. Its rather amazing, though the outro song totally steals the entire thing for me and it's the least electronic song on the entire album ahah.
Heard this song the other day. Don't think I've seen it posted here before, however it is over a year old. I find it has a rather sexy minimalistic progressive house beat.
Yo, so I casually wanna make an hour or so mix of couple of songs I've been listening for a long time. Obviously I don't wannna pay 500bucks for avid tho, any sort free and nice mixing softwares out there that you guys know?

MARKUS SCHULZ AFTER PARTY for spring awakening next friday!!! Woot woot. Be jealous duke_ss :D This will be my 4th and 5th time seeing him in the last 12 months
Armin has officially broken the internet with ASOT666. Trending everywhere. Best episode I've heard in years. Fucking evil dark psy tech trance. Kicked off at 138bpm and keeps going harder.

Going to see Aly & Fila tomorrow Ready for a night of uplifting 138
You're not a fan of Afrojack? I suppose on second listen the album isn't the greatest, but I liked Ten Feet Tall and Do or Die. It also helps the album has the same title as the Swedish House Mafia documentary :3
I'm fine with people calling out bullshit, but Deadmau5 does it way too much. He takes it to the point where it's like he's EDM Jesus-- I mean sure he's had some good tracks but that doesn't mean he gets the right to choose what is good music and bad music.
I'm pretty sad, no one on my soundcloud is coming out with new stuff. Just a bunch of ASOT/ Armin stuff sadly. Also the wait for the second TomorrowWorld lineup announcement is killing me. I want to see if some of the major holes from the first one will be filled...

Also ASOT666. Boom.
Ten feet tall is actually really good during the intro, then poops all over it with that stupid fucking generic big room bass line.
Asot666 was phenomenal. Public response was pretty overwhelming, hopefully he starts playing more psy/tech/138-140 trance in his sets ^_^
Super excited for the next round of tomorrowworld line up, getting my tickets when my buddy gives me the 700$ he owes me next weekend lol. Might not even wait til then. Asot 666 got me even more pumped up to see simon, kearney, arnej, suckley, etc.
Ah, I only bought a ticket for the last day of Tomorrowworld... I'm not confident enough that I can take of the entire weekend with school and everything else going on. I'm praying the artists I want to see will be on the last day, though it's stacked enough that I should be okay either way. If Armin closes it'll make up for that time I went to the opera instead of his concert 5 years ago.
Going to give my Armin Only - Intense experience a review, going to put it in spoilers so anyone yet to see it doesn't spoil themselves if they don't want to.
Overall, I would probably rate the whole show around a 7 or 8 out of 10. It was very enjoyable, but for me personally there were things that I feel stopped it from being a 9 or 10.
It seems odd to me to critic something as inconsequential as the graphics/display, but you have to remember that in this sort of production/show, they're actually a large part of the whole overall package. As a whole, they were pretty good, adding a little to the experience, but not much.
Until Armin played 'This Light between Us', where a video of the vocalist, Christian Burns appeared and sang, ok, whatever. But it got weird (to me at least) when Armin left the turntables, walked up to the massive LED screen behind him and proceeded to 'hug' the video of Burns. Strange, but whatever again. But it got worse when a statue-like 3d visage of Armin's head was made. It just didn't look quite right. It pivoted from side to side, sending its vacant gaze and unnerving smile across the entire audience. Intensely disturbing. And they kept the same visual going for like 45 minutes, and then they got bored of the 'statue' effect and just had the 3d wire mesh for another 10.
Second critic: I didn't really get into the two acrobats on the trampolines, or the four dancers. They would come on, do their thing for 3-4~ minutes and then just disappear, rinse and repeat multiple times throughout the show. They didn't feel engaging and I don't think they added much for my own enjoyment.
Final, and perhaps the most important critic: Music & Track selection. I think I set myself up for disappointment here. I went expecting (and hoping for) something more like an ASOT set, where Armin builds a set and plays his fav. tracks of the moment this a few good oldie throwbacks that just end up destroying the dance floor. I suppose it can really be expected when you think of the show format, hell, even the name. It's called Armin Only - Intense, and is more-or-less a showcase of the Intense album, and album world tour. He even has the 6 vocalists with him, its pretty damn obvious what tracks he is going to playing.
And this for me was a let down, if you're an Armin fan, you will have no doubt heard them many many times before, let alone this whole period it felt like he just played most of his 2006-2010 discography.
It sort of goes to some of my criticisms of the Intense album, which while has a lot of great tracks, I feel they're not really outstanding tracks to play back to back in a set. Also: Very little 138/uplifting.
The parts I most enjoyed were when he launched the show after the warm-up, where he obviously had a little bit more freedom to play newer stuff like New Horizons, Visons, Bigfoot, D#Fat etc before he had to move onto the prepared & scripted stuff with the vocalists & the other performers. I also loved when all 6 vocalists came out towards the end for their final performance and did These Broken Hearts together, was pretty special. Can't go without mentioning Ping Pong, the sit-down and when the balloons drop that happens towards the end, funny thing though, right at the start of the show three balloons got unstuck from the sails they were suspended in and were bouncing around for awhile.
So yea, had a good time, but I think I hyped myself up a bit too much and had some false expectations.
Soooooo I'm not actually that hyped. Audien and Laidback Luke are the only two I'm really interested in. Maybe a bit if Pegboard Nerds and Thomas Newsom.
Armin is in russia on the 27th... Still keeping my hope alive for him or a&b. Added anjunadeep stage with 16 bit lolitas, lane 8, jody wisternoff, etc. which should be pretty cool. Other than that Audien, Maceo plex and LBL are the only ones I was happy to see as well. Although I'm sure there's plenty of those people i've never heard of that are enjoyable.
But still: kaskade, richie hawten, zedd, aly&fila, rayel, arnej, kearney, ferry, digweed, suckley, mat zo, morgan page, myon&shane 54, orjan nilsen, pete tong, simon patterson from the first announcment.
More artists that I REALLY want to see but less depth this year IMO
Super pumped for spring awakening and markus schulz after party tomorrow! For SA i'll probably see 3lau, markus, feed me, eric prydz, knife party, and tiesto (meh).
This just came on the mix I'm listening to (Aries - Exhibit F, loaded with trance classics). Fucking epic, used to workout to this song all the time. Proper rave music right there.
Edit: Actually, just listen to the whole set. This is practically a summary of the songs that made me fall in love with trance.
