Posting some of my favorite tracks I've found this year (not all from 2011). Mostly dub/2step/garage/"future garage"/techno/juke. Some tracks by Burial/Scuba/Four Tet are obvious contenders but I'm assuming anyone into dub and garage at all has already got their hands on street halo and the likes one way or another. Worth looking into is Burial's collaboration with Massive Attack which I believe was very recent. Koreless and Blawan are the guys of the future. Check out Blawan's other project called Karenn which he has going with the great producer Pariah. Sepalcure and dBridge also had amazing releases this year.

Kuhn is from the astro nautico crew who are as underground as it gets right now. If you dig his stuff look up astro nautico, consider buying some vinyls from them. Howse, Raja, Obey City, all the artists associated are pretty sick. Howse's trakzep was the best release from them (Bangsless - The Range Remix the best song, unfortunately there's no youtube for it that I could find but google it it's on soundcloud/bandcamp) and support some underground shit, because any one of these DJ's could be blowing up soon and I bet it'll be kuhn who is pretty damn versatile

and just for fun i've started messing about with FL and anyone who is experienced with FL, sound mixing, or any DAW I'd LOOOOOOVE it if you PM'd me with some advice or help because I'm really seriously interested in production and learning. Again this is just what I've made learning the basics of the system in fact two of these tracks were made with me being completely unaware of the mixer/presets available. I mixed them later though (badly)

all in all it is well done, but the climax is kind of not catchy enough. besides of the bpm it is no house music.

Found out A&B was coming to a club an hour from me, going there with ~6 of my best friends (TRANCE IS AWESOME YOU SHOULD COME). I seriously cannot wait till Feb 1st. I'm almost never happier than when listening to a trance concert.

Pretty upset that I have to miss ASOT 550 here in LA, due to having to house sit for my parents in Seattle and I haven't seen Armin live in over 2 years.

On a good note though, I get to see Markus three times in the next month. Once this month, and twice for this release party in February.

Could someone recommend me some electro groups similar to Designer Drugs, Mustard Pimp, Pendulum, and (some) the Bloody Beetroots?

2 criteria: no horrible (IMO) mainstream stuff such as Avicii or Tiesto please, with as little vocal as possible, preferably none. I don't mind the occasional use of brief vocal "effects" to enhance the progression of the song, but the singing should never be a main component of the song.
