I'm probably going to make a super post chock full of classic old school death/tech-death, as well as some very underrated bands. Maybe as the first post on page 101? (don't snipe plz XD) I went to a Cannibal Corpse concert a week ago and it was funny as hell. I dont get how Corpsegrinder can keep banging his head so brutally through 45 mins. From my brothers POV. I always try to make him not shake his phone so damn much buts its hard. Official vid

respect That's some nice live footage. I imagine Corpsegrinder's brain has grown callus' or something (lol). I feel brain dead after one night of headbanging at a concert, I really don't know how he does it.

That album is amazing, probably the only black metal I really like.

I like metal that doesn't take itself too seriously. Also Devin Townsend is amazing. If the above isn't to your taste check this out: Possibly the most amazing half hour of music of my life.

Does it sound anything like their first three albums? I felt those were quite overlooked and underrated, honestly, whereas their newer stuff is the exact opposite...

Personally I don't like the albums in which he doesn't take himself seriously and in general I tend to be a bit cautious with that kind of attitude as it's quite hit-and-miss. (and generally works best for punk/thrash/crossover, IMHO) But I really *really* like Ocean Machine: Biomech, it's a superb album that brings quality riffs and excellent atmosphere. Terria is quite as good as well and I'm a big fan of the Ghost album as well, even though it's not metal I find it quite soothing and enjoyable. So yeah HevyDevy FTW! ^^

This is Life or Death. This particular piece is from their album named Claustrofobia, from 2000: This one is called Born to Fight. Its from Thrasher, their 2002 album: They have some pieces in portuguese, and some in english, which is cool for us brazilians. They're rather small, so, show some appreciation if you like them!
