Pretty much. Even before that, liquid already lost control and you could see they didn't dare to farm lanes alone anymore despite being 15 kills and over 10k up.

Yeah we never withnessed such naga games before the comeback mechanics. Never.

I never said that we never saw such games, but nowdays you get a lot more money then you did before. Then the psychological aspect kicks in after you know you gave a lot of money and then from there on its a snowball.

Ah the psychological effet. Maybe then proplayers should try a bit of therapy to counter the rubberband. :-/

That's because it was after potm death.

Anyways, Liquid have lost this game more than Newbee have won it if you ask me (even if Newbee did play well after laning disaster).

If you think this is just about rubberband and not

1-Newbee playing their draft 100%
2-Liquid failing to group up and push
3-Not choking the only hero that they needed (naga)
4-Not having a real base breaking strategy/hero
5-Bad item choices

Then I have news for you.

I don't think you understand how rubberband complaints work.

If both of the following are true:
1) The team you like had a substantial lead
2) The team you like lost

The rubberband is always to blame.

You forget Wings.

These are the sort of guys who may just wreck EG in the final with first pick bloodseeker sending PPD into BSOD.

i don't believe in wings after their groups and EG has improved to the point where they're just beyond what they showed in starladder with picking stupid shit and drafts.

i mean personally, i'd like it if eg didn't win but this isn't the same eg that crumbled against FRIENDS.

honestly the EG sandbagging or creating a narrative "chip on their shoulders" theory is really making a lot of sense now.

This is basically the same team as last year with an upgrade at the 4

Maybe they should go into full-time casting. rOtk going ham would also be great to see on the panel.

To be honest, none of same EG players have shown same level of play they had at TI5 until match with Newbee.

Zai is a fucking god, though.

Most definitely not. They could actually try and push the high ground against those heroes and those heroes don't push the lanes as well as Naga.

Nah Alch is a trash hero and he wouldn't have survived the initial onslaught anywhere near as good as Naga did

Ember, Spectre with Haunt for every Nyx/Naix bomb, even Void would have won as well for Newbee though

Well, you can actually, but it requires having a plan after taking advantage, not going full Euro dota after winning laning stage.

I mean its more than a year and people keep complaining about this stupid shit. Even pros have just adapted to it and say fuck it.
Idk start a referendum in forums if you want something to change but its always the same when those 2 variables you posted check in.
