Misery's play this series was definitely impressive to me. Although he was largely there to give the empower in g1, his play in fights was very solid. As far as I recall he always chose a decent rp, he always made sure he immediately used a spell. Fy was trying his best for the steal but never got it.
Nyx is I think very suitable as a hero for him too, especially with that kind of an early start.

game 1 was just impressive hold by secret and basically masterful map splitting by envy ,...in game 2 ,i knda felt secret outdrafted VG heavily and then outplayed early game too but then VG outplayed secret in mid game ,but even if VG had nullified all the lead and took lead themselves,it takes one good teamfight like that for secret to wipe entire VG as their bkb's were down to 5 seconds.
overall,pretty close games by both teams goes to show how closely these 2 teams are in terms of skill..i think,not banning ember or wr costed vg those both games ,but it was impressive showing by secret and envy

If that were the case then Na'Vi after TI3 would have still been a top team, except when EG came about they just fell off. You're discrediting the other players in Secret if you think Puppey can do this with just anyone.

Puppey can play terrible and not get flamed because he is a captain so we actually can't see or know the extend of his contributions.
Remember that when Puppey got criticzed on Navi, it was never his play. It was his ''outdated'' drafting or something else.

i don't remember ppd getting flamed for his plays though i don't really remember ppd misplaying at all .. when EE used to draft for c9 he did get flamed alot though lol pretty funny cause fng/yoky/jerax/etc didn't get flamed as a captain/drafter even though they did wayy worse than EE(and that was considering ee drafted for a long stretch of time and did actually better than the other captains who were doing it for a shorter time .. yeah he had the finals/crucial match drafting problem but pretty much even ppd tiltdrafts alot too) and even when they made mistakes in their plays
it's like FY with VG while he gets flamed alot for drafting .. he was pretty much the best and most stable drafter VG ever
for puppey this series though .. it's really hard to be a support of secret game 1 you just literally take bullets from VG all the time, game 2 was more like entire secret suddenly getting outplayed by VG so can't blame him for that

he had several key whiffed iceblasts in game 2
his bane was very pld-esque in game 1 but he could've had more impact if he had built force instead of solar when there was already a WR on his team (and solar doesn't convert ember into a frontline hero either)

No, it was a post match panel of MLG New Orleans with Zhou + 3 others, which was translated by redditors, where they mentioned that Chinese wont fear any team with EE.

I only remember that buyback into whiffed iceblast near T2 bottom in game 2, he's great in the early game with it
the solar was fine imo as the team already has 2 fs and it helped tanking up heroes that got caught in icepath + weaken alch and gyro
for me he did his job really well overall

the thread isn't wrong (chuan/xiao8) shared the same opinion just 2 days ago, but they quickly changed their minds after seeing secret the last 2 days.
