impressive performance by cdec. They way they moved as a team and their positioning in team fights was top notch. Completely out played C9

Lets be honest, 5 random people on LD could join a lobby and outplay C9.

God I am saltier than PPD.

How did they fuck this up so badly. Jesus fucking christ. They should all retire after TI. Never going to win one. Bleh.

No, because Secret is still going to win. In fact, this helps my argument about new talent.

what?

Azarkon never heard about CDEC's players before so he assumes they are new to pro Dota. Matter of fact, Maybe was new-est talent on CDEC, rest were old struggle pr0z.

According to one of their players he's only played professionally for a year, so...?

Secret and EG are full of old talent

But both have new talent. Well, in the case of Secret it's two year old talent, but still pretty new.

Isn't 2 years a long time in competitive gaming though? I wouldn't call someone a "young gun" if they started playing professionally 2 years ago in StarCraft...

Are we talking about Dota? Dota is a game that's been around for 10+ years. Arteezy was not even a professional in 2013.

Apparently Kaipi and Speed never existed.

I have trouble taking this too seriously as evidence of China's relative strength. The way the bracket cookie crumbled was pretty heavily in favor of an East vs. West upper bracket finals. Best Chinese team and Cinderella story against relatively weak Western opponents in the top half of the brackets, and the two Western teams that are actually good in the bottom half.

The real contest will be the upper bracket finals.

Sure, but has competitive DotA been around for just as long? Arteezy did well in 2013 as a pro-gamer, and also was probably a great player for longer than that...

The amount of delays and interruptions in that game were not worthy of the $1,200,000 that were at stake, I feel bad for the players. That said CDEC sure has surprised me with their performance!

RTZ was on Kaipi, he was not full-time but there is no reason to not consider him a pro by that time. Also, StarCraft been here longer than Dota and 2 years is still a long time in it.

"One" meaning one tournament, of course. Misery's the only good player on the team, the others should've faded into irrelevance after TI4. I feel bad for Jack for paying them.

"One". At least Q/Xz (or someone else) were on tier 2/3 teams in 2013.

He was playing in his off time; were we to consider every player who's ever tried to play tournaments on a third rate team a pro, then no one in Dota is new. Not even Sumail.
