That way you can just click and it will reset your shift-queued actions.

What if you stop-cancel the attack? Evaded attacks don't increment the PRD counter. Also, only attacks that are capable of critting increment the counter (so attacks against buildings don't count). Stop-canceling doesn't increment it either.

But while the TP is still going, the situation changes and I no longer want to use that ability. Is there a way to drop that command from the queue without cancelling the TP? Not if it's something that is an instant cast. Something like blink dagger or Echo Slam are both impossible to stop if you've already queued them up (without canceling the TP at least). If it's something that you can hit S to cancel, like Ravage, Fissure, etc., then you can manually cancel them right after your TP finishes.

It goes through trees and you can walk it wherever you want (like Batrider Firefly). The spirit also carries your Aura passive so if at all possible, try to have it hang around whichever target is getting focused by your team until you can close the distance and start pummeling the target yourself. The spirit is pretty spammable particularly if you have a Soul Ring, and it does decent damage and lasts a while, so you should walk it around and bump it into as many things as you can. Once you recall it, you get a short duration damage and movespeed buff based on the number of creeps and heroes it touched, which can suddenly turn you into a threat. Later on in the teamfight phase of the game you'll want to use the spirit for scouting ahead short distances and setting up your stomp/ult combo by bombing your spirit onto the other team and immediately stomping. At higher levels of stomp, the sleep effect lasts long enough for the ult to jolt them awake and do a bunch of damage. Make sure that when you ult, your spirit stays on top of the other team to pass on your Natural Order aura and do extra damage.

While I'm not a good player, I'd imagine that's because ranged creeps are the main thing which cause creep waves to snowball. If you have two ranged creeps attacking vs one on the other side, your wave will start pushing really hard. With no ranged creeps at all, you will quickly have a snowball creep wave. Are there any noob leagues like the D Ranks Team League is for Brood War? Like 2.5k to, say, 3k MMR?

Are there any noob leagues like the D Ranks Team League is for Brood War? Like 2.5k to, say, 3k MMR? you usually attack the melee barracks first, the only scenario i can think of going for the range first is because the building doesnt regenerate. if you go for the melee and the opponent manages to push you back before you destroy it, it regens in a moderate rate but the ranged doesnt. so maybe they went to the ranged first since it is easier to demolish.

Ranged is safe damage. It also has less armor and less health. So while not a massive difference in how long it takes to kill them, if you expect to only have a few seconds to hit barracks before the enemies can mount a defense hitting ranged means any damage you do is done and even if you dont kill the ranged you can come back and kill it later. If you focus the melee you risk having your efforts undone because if you dont finish it off it will regen back up pretty quickly.

But I would love to get better at it, so I started looking for "best" champs to pick in soloqueue and what champs the pro's mostly pick, sadly they are hardly the heroes i mostly pick (when i don't random in AP =)). I'm starting to wonder why that is. This is a list of the April 2014 Tier List picked in competitive play (as I didn't find any newer list) + Show Spoiler + ![]() As for me personally, I like the jungle/support and/or the jungle/carry heroes the most (afaik those are enigma, nature prophet, enchantress, chenn, ....) and a few lane heroes like Timbersaw .. Oh god, I love timbersaw (and enigma, my favorite hero! black hole <3)! Anyway the point i'm trying to make is, up until this point i practictly always randomed my hero. BUT I want to get better at Dota. I've played all champs and all rolls and I find the ones who start in jungle into carry or support the most fun to play. Which champ (keeping in mind jungle! -> carry/support), do you think(?) would be the best for me to start learning so I get better at the game and start winning games in normal/ranked (I play AP for 95% of my games, so no worries about early bans in captainsmode)? TL:DR for the lazy (like me :D) - What hero(es) is(are) best to start learning jungle into carry/support? ( On June 09 2014 20:02 Firebolt145 wrote: )Well I'll quickly address your jungling question, but after this you should move that particular question to the Simple Questions, Simple Answers thread. Jungling supports: Chen and Enchantress (both quite difficult and will take time for you to master, but can have a very high impact!), Enigma Jungling carries/semi-carries: Lycan (read the Lycan thread here for a very good guide on how to jungle with him), Nature's Prophet
