The difference is negligible except maybe in situations when you're looking to push the enemy tower, but even then its very small. But you are right in that when the equilibrium is messed up you dont need to bother trying to keep it static. And if you can find value in pushing it further, feel free to do so.

You can TRY aggro tricks to get the enemy creeps to attack your ranged creeps, and combine that with denying hard.

Even if you're trying to push their tower, you want to slow-push it to have a built up wave with the siege wave. The siege wave is what really does damage to the tower, so you don't want to hard-push non-siege waves for minimal damage then not have enough creeps when the siege creep spawns if that's your goal.

If you want to abuse ur passive and hit them with autos, then you want something like orchid + crit for right click deeps. If you want to abuse ur low-cd nukes then you want something like sheep/aghs/veil. Note how both builds do feature a mana solution item (Orchid or Hex). Euls is a reasonable hex substitute with survivability upside as well. If you find yourself dying (despite having huuuuge range) you can opt for blink, ghost sceptre or BKB depending on what is killing you and whether you need to be able to attack or not. None of these builds are particularly great simply because lina's right clicks never reach a truly scary stage and her spells, while high in terms of damage, can't really compare to say a leshrac who can be played much more effectively in a "spell damage carry" role. However its fun. Thanks for the suggestions, i play her a lot and get "tunnel vision" must carry! in fact i get Eul's usually after other core items just for the lolz and 1v3-4 easier but whenever i don't get that early lane lead i struggle a bit, surely going to experiment with other active items! And yes i love the passive and max it second, with that i can get kills before everyone is super tanky. Never seen a high level Lina play, is Blink used offensively (kinda QoP) or for retreat?

K/D ratio is quite simply -insert kills-/-insert deaths- of whatever hero you want to know the number for.

When I'm playing NP I generally start out (both in lane and jungle) with a fast midas then build Boots of Speed(base boots only)>Lothars>Desolator and try to go around split pushing and being annoying. When should I be using my ult, and where should I be aiming it (or doesn't it matter)?

I end up just throwing it out in a lane on Cooldown and hoping it kills a creep or two, and I know I'm not getting the most out of it. I even see better player's picking up aghanim's on NP fairly early, so I know it has to be at least situationally OK. When should I be using my ult, and where should I be aiming it (or doesn't it matter)? what would you say your MMR is? here are some general tips, regardless of MMR. situationally, the agh's upgrade from NP is ok.. but there are much better items you can get for the hero that are almost always going to be a better choice. that said here are two times you can use your ultimate: 1) you see a low HP hero walking away from a team fight (don't KS your #1 farmer!) 2) there's a big fat creep wave that no one is farming. again, try not to steal farm. Another situation you can find yourself able to use your ultimate is as soon as you hit level 6. If your supports are good or you're jungling and have been using a tree to stack and pull your hard camp, you can easily clear a 3 stack using the ulti, securing yourself quite a bit of flash farm. don't forget to be flexible with your build. don't forget that lothar is easily countered with cheap items and being more situationally aware while saving for a more useful item *can* be more valuable to you and your team.

Try to use it to damage heroes rather than just farming creeps. If a gank is coming top, ult bot and tp to top lane. It needs vision to do the damage so make sure you follow the hero you intend to damage. boots -> midas -> phase -> necro is the usual build for furion. But he's flexible. YOu want to get a hex at some point though

YOu want to get a hex at some point though you need to be careful with using it bottom and hoping it goes top. it really depends on the creep wave, but if there is only one wave bot (and you cast bot) and it hits no heroes, it will successfully make it to top with an extra hit to spare. this is not including the time it takes to get there. sometimes its a bit safer to cast it on a secondary target in the same lane if you're looking to stop a push or counter gank to ensure damage gets done and it is not wasted.
