bane + gyro is awkward to lane against for sure but if ur bat u can just go jungle.
Bat is also super good at contesting pulls you just firefly them from behind the trees type idea. And supports can't actually trade harass with you most of the time cuz u just tar them and get thwacking, assuming they can't just outright kill you (rarely the case with bane )
If you are radiant offlane you can also pull the big camp to the wave. with firefly you clear it decently fast too.

Thanks, this is exactly what I wanted.

I feel like they can harass me out of exp range while letting gyro get all the CS he wants. I feel like I have almost no options here - if I try to get near the creeps, Bane can set up an easy kill on me. I don't have the muscle to harass them away. What are my options? What should we as a team do?
If you really can't even get xp, go jungle. Have your supports stack camps for you.

Has the recent changes to Medusa changed the way you play her? I liked Dusa even before 6.80 but usually it feelt like you needed stats early on and had to choose between splitshoot and snake.
Just looking at the changes mana shield is so incredibly buffed I feel you might not need the extra point in stats early on and that 1 point in splitshot while maxing snake should let you start clearing jungle effectivly as soon as you have the regen.
Edit: looking more one point in stats early is probably still very good.

This is the first time I've played versus it (mostly people use 2-1-2 setups at my level), and her mystic snake really wrecked me and took a ton of my health so I had to back off the creepwave and lost a lot of farm. I was playing Faceless void and my support was leshrac. I went Poor Man's Shield>Wand>Midas; Should I just be flying a ton of salves out and delay my midas by a ton? I'm really lost.
In theory if it's a solo Medusa then you and your support should be more than she can handle. Mystic snake is annoying but hard for her to sustain at early levels and Leshrac should have zoned her out by autoattacking or even stunning. Also, if she activates mana shield then every time you attack she loses more mana. If you really need to you can also buy a casual ring of regen.

I would not go wand or pms before midas, it makes the midas less efficient.
Maybe you had problems lasthitting with all the snakeharras and chose too still go for delayed midas after wand and pms anyway. I think void doesnt need manaregen that early and the heal from a charge is not the equivalent of 1 round of snakeharras anyway, thats 600g wasted on stats and the wrong choice for a greedy late midas, 1550g = 2150g wasted on shit that doesnt contribute to farmsustainability. I think i would have gone for a mask or RoH before a PMS upgrade, the wandupgrade and the midas.

If you buy, use and then sell an item within a few seconds does it not sell back for full price? I think I did that with a bottle today.

If you used bottle, you can't sell it for full price.
|
Is that for all items, or just a bottle?
|
As soon as you use an activatable item it sells for half price (aka bottle, bkb, dagon, mana boots, blink, whatever). Passive regen items (ring of regen, etc) can be purchased, held for the sell-back duration, then sold for full price while benefitting from the HP regained.
I dunno about damage items but I'd assume it isn't relevant lol.
PS somebody somewhere has a video of them running into the side shop, not having mana to TP to safety, buying a energy booster to give them enough mana and then selling it once they finished TP'ing to base (so gosu).

Interesting, I always thought you could buy a blink at the side shop, blink and tp home, then sell it for full price. I thought I saw that in a video a long time ago.

If Illusions only benefit from damage given by stats, does damage from stats items also get decreased by the same amount base damage is decreased?

Stats from items are included as base damage?

Yes
Hence if u do 100 dmg as an agi hero, and you buy a bfly, you will see "130 + 30" where the 30 agi gave u 30 base damage and the 30 flat dmg gave u flat dmg. Ur illusions would do whatever percent of 130 dmg, ignoring the flat 30.
Attackspeed functions similarly, although without the same display queues.

You can buy/sell rapiers to do Rosh more quickly! I saw Burning do it in a pub once, super risky, but quite effective.

I mean once u get the rosh why sell the rapier? And if ur that rich u could just buy something else to do rosh fast? lol
Still thats mega next level and pretty cool.

Casually buys a rapier because he can't kill rosh fast enough when he has 6k gold in the bank?
If you accidentally finish an item that can be split, can you immidiately split the item and then sell the part back?
