@wonderful: no, lina's animation is the literal definition of godawful the worst.
And any half decent enemy can play aggro tricks enough to fuck up a lasthit delayed as much as lina's have to be, so "practice with it" doesn't even apply.

It's like you're contesting creeps with Lina support :D Except for denies, and Lina has 49 base damage or something like that without branches, so it's legit.

Because there's no way that a 0.75 frontswing can be considered better than any other hero's. You could argue that it's not a disadvantage when you're used to it, fine, but there's not really any way you can say "she has an amazing attack animation" like it's a unique advantage of the hero.

Longest base range in the game doesn't give you any trouble harassing. If clock walks up to you, you cancel your attack, move back until he starts taking damage by creep and/or he turns around himself, and you hit him on his way back. If you get caught by a melee, slow windup is the least of your worries. Btw, you can't "kite" something that has longer range than you. Thats the exact opposite of kiting. Kiting is shooting and running while you're opponent can't reach you. If wr tries to attack you, you do the same as with clock. Move a step back, and toss a shot or two when she decides to turn around because of the creep damage. To be exact: you're kiting her.

Treads, BF, Manta, then Heart/Abyssal/Butterfly in any order basically, selling treads for travs OFC, and the last slot only fills once u lose aegis

Mostly not a good idea in pubs. Treads first is a good core for most people until they are capable of assessing when it can be delayed. And to comment on the original question: bf is the correct way to play him in pubs as well. Even if it's a bit late, your farm will skyrocket. AM is capable of being the second fastest farming carry in the game, and in lategame he absolutely crushes the one who is (alchemist). So thats the goal you want to aim for with him. You're also more likely to be left alone with your amazing farm in pubs(which is the root of all the comics with a 40 min left-alone AM coming out of the trees exlaming "the fun ends here!"). I can not fathom any reason why you'd want to let go of that and..do what exactly? Turn him into a second rate midgame fighter?
