for sc2 it was sth like: top right (res and supply) -> middle (what am i doing/building -> bottom left (any movement/directing army) for dota is almost the same: bottom left (where are the others ppl / any1 missing? / other thigns to see) middle (last hits / denies / pulling camps) top middle (any1 close to respawn?) its a bit like when you learn to drive, you have to get used to take a look into all the mirrors of your car. its natural after soome time. positions in teamfights, it depends really on the heros. so it might be easier to tell you usefull stuff i we know the hero. in generall, squishy heros like CM should stay behind their team as far as tehy can but still keep the range for all important spells (needs some practise ofc). use the terrain as well, high ground trees and such things can block the vision of the other team so you can spam your stuff from the dark. forcestaffs or blink are also helpfull to get out of troublesome situations. forcestaff is the more beginner-friendly item since it wont be disabled when you take hero-dmg. also force gives you some str and int.

So first acknowladge that, then go to replays and watch teamfights on very slow speed. Examine what you should be doing and where you should position yourself. If you don't know what is right or what is wrong, get pub/cm replays and watch pro players how they do it. Then when you go into a game constantly remind yourself of what you have learned and try to focus on positioning and improve it.

It's pt/dagger 25 minutes and then only wards. And you need sentries ALWAYS especially considering fact how popular are invis heroes nowdays, not speaking about warding properly and keeping map open. On March 16 2014 17:03 evilfatsh1t wrote: every game has a position 4/5, whether or not you like it. you can have a team of five carries, but someone is going to end up being the position 5. its just how farm distribution works in a game with limited resources. and no, after the 6.78 (or 9 cant remember which) patch, which increased gold for all heroes, its not ok for a support be sitting on 30min boots only. if youre only capable of getting a boots at 30mins because you supported on your own, then that just shows how little you know about how to play the game. you make an argument for how lina can be hard to deal with if she gets some early levels, but then you say solo supports like alche cant get early lvls and so they suck. ???????????????????? I wonder in what level of competition are you playing. Who will leave Alchemist support? It's absolute fresh meat for other team. Only thing that those 2 retards who sit on each other and whine about lack of shoes can do is throw stun for 180 damage on level 2 if they casted it properly. It's so hard to go duo offlane and just smash those carry+Alchemist who constantly pushes lane with acid and then single pulling for 5 minutes? Then he hits ult, it becomes a bit harder to kill him ( he has fucking 1 armor and 5 base armor on level 19, about what are you speaking) but he's still fresh meat with his 900 hp if your mid can rotate his ass. He can't counterplay you. It's not Abaddon, Visage or Dazzle, it's not even tier-2 support. You pick him only when you push/stack minus armor/when you're Loda and you want to farm because you know that there won't be any duo offlanes. I hadn't seen any mid-tier Alchemist games. Either they go mid, get 10 minutes blink and then rape whole map whole game. Either they feed, get 20 minutes vanguard, try to force some fights and still lose because you can stun him/doom/other stuff. And about Lina. Lina has fucking 650 range, amazing attack animation and free oneshot on level 6. What do you need else?

None of you have a Sheepstick, which is one of the best items in the game.

Just right click all 20 necrounits towards throne everytime megacreep wave goes highground.

I'm not sure when you actually broke raxes etc (might watch the game later if I have time) but Medusa and PL are some of the best heroes to hold against mega creeps with, particularly when they start getting rapiers. None of you have a Sheepstick, which is one of the best items in the game. And none of them has necrobook-refresher that is actually one of the best counters to stationary megacreep defense towers aka that pl and dusa.

Also unless he's not right-clicking you he's going to draw creep aggro.

ok, so we ganked, but we're still at equal ground..his movement speed in shape shift is still really good, and he still hits supports like a mac truck and he can push towers really well. what do you do in the mid game to deal with him?
