However, I have a hard time getting my BoT and I get it at around 15 minutes in, that has been my biggest challenge so far, getting BoT faster. Then of course my dagger and sheepstick is late. I'm still having a hard time last hitting with tinker.
If you're pulled wiht tangos, go bottle/boots of travel/soul ring at 13-14, that's legit even if you were killed 1-2 times. But to be honest, 7-8 minutes for bots is classic. After it your farm explode and you can get dagger in ~3 minutes. BUT PLEASE. Can all Tinkers stop doing this shit when they're pushing all 3 lanes so other 4 guys in team should divide 3 camps in jungle, because Tinker is getting literally everything?

I have been trying this build with skadi on sniper. It makes him tanky enough to survive being jumped on in teamfights, and the transition into manta makes you do insane damage. I ussually go phase yasha skadi manta. Any thoughts? edit: mostly asking because all the pros play him and go full glass cannon builds and I'm wondering why this is not seen As a viable build

You kinda want sniper to be a glass cannon, the hero is not supposed to be taking the heat in fights. However in public games you cant rely on your team to support you well enough in fights to let you stand and attack freely, thus some kind of survivability is needed.
I usually go for Phase -> Drums (for some hp and extra movespeed) -> Yasha -> Manta. This gives me damage, extra pushing power, a way to remove certain debuffs and a bunch of hp aswell.
After these items you will probably want to pick up even more damage, Desolator / Mjolnir, crit / mkb etc or even Butterfly will suffice.
But to be honest i rarely play sniper at all since i see the hero as kind of flawed unless as previously mentioned, you have a good team that lets you play the hero the way its supposed to. So i am no expert. However i feel that playing sniper comes down to more how you play it, than what items you get. You can probably get any combination of items and make it work, the hard part is being able to position urself in fights well enough that u wont get jumped on or easily focused.
Ps. Im currently sitting at 5.1k so im not some kind of pro, but i have enough experiance for you to atleast consider my reply :p

sniper needs some sort of escape / bkb / survivabilty, i don't know if skadi is "viable" - the buildup is really long, doesn't increase in your farmspeed i don't think a fast skadi is a good option but if you have a good start and complete it fast it is really powerful but in a normal game it seems to hard to farm it. I have seen a lot of dagger / forcestaff on heros like drow or sniper recently but also not fast rather as 3rd/4th/5th item instead of a bkb.

I always thought part of the reason for glass cannon builds is that sniper doesn't really scale particularly well in terms of damage from abilities. The attack range is great of course, but doesn't contribute actual DPS to a pitched fight other than letting you sit there and auto-attack, but that's something characters with a BKB can usually do as well. Headshot is a 40dmg/attack boost when you average out the proc chance so it's not exactly scaling in a stellar way. The main thing he offers in auto-attacking, other than the flexibility of the increased range, is the chain ministun from headshot. So you really want to be able to capitalize on that, otherwise why play sniper.
In terms of defensive items then you're in a weird spot right? Manta sort of wastes the illusions a bit if your other items are focused on attack speed (and probably a crit blade in there at some point), Skadi is skadi, and BKB is expensive with little offensive power. The glass cannon builds make sense to me because you're trying to hit the point where you're bursting people down from range early enough that you're peaking before other carries, but later than a single item, and anything that slows that progression down really needs to pay off to be worth it. To me it seems like BKB is the one you'd want if you need a defensive item even though it's expensive; it's reliable enough to probably be worth it. Manta seems like it's not enough to make sniper have a big punch like it is on other heroes who use it as more of a core item and you can get more punch out of 2 other cheaper offensive items if you need.

Skadi is a good 5th~ item on sniper.
But i'd get other items first.

One thing you forget when you say that skadi build has not enough dmg, is manta. You are building stats, so the illusions Make your dmg output suprisingly good. I will admit that its only really good vs bkb carries and initiators that can get to you during teamfights like puck or storm.

Arent PT's better for illusions then PB? Just a thought, if you go the illusionroute because your team lacks pushingpower then PT seems more logical if im correct.

i used go treads, but it kind of gimps you early, especially if you are mid. Not having any damage kind of sucks, and phase is also better for kiting when you get skadi.
|
yeah phase is almost always better, it's much stronger in lane and midgame skadi's not bad as a 2nd or 3rd item after yasha and/or hotd it makes you really tanky and you can slow pretty much whoever you want in teamfights also if anyone jumps you you can just hit them until they die

If your ally disruptor casts kinetic field, can you vacuum heroes into it / out of it?

why are 3/1/1 lanes still so popular?

Because the metagame in pubs is constantly 6 months to a year behind the proscene..

Because you provide shitload of free farm to your carry, control the map and rotate smoother than 2-1-2 laning phase. But you still need to execute it well, it's no mean free win especially after previous patch with new creeps equilbrium.

Who doesn't want it to be 3-1-1 when you can offlane phoenix!
Plus 3-1-1 ensures farm for your carry when they may not be skilled enough to get it otherwise and you have more opportunity for kills if your opponents are sloppy at all.

Can you give enemies your items?
