Ever played poker?
You probably were running well prior and now you're running bad. Sometimes though, and this is what I realised, was once I started winning I started taking bigger risks and choosing heroes I wanted to play rather than what the team needed. Once I went back to my old mindset I started winning again, although it didn't take losing 400 MMR more like 100.

What was it, like the combined speed of all units in the snowball or something ridiculous? I forget.

Snowball movement speed per extra hero reduced from 100% to 50% in 6.71

This is like the story of one of my friends, he started off at like 4.2k mmr and he was playing around there for a while hovering there and than he went a huge losing streak and dropped to 4k and he tried to climb back up picking his best hero but he just seemed to keep losing more games than he won and he dropped to 3.8 and he was super pissed and laddered everyday trying to get back to 4k, i think he needs a break and try again at it after a while.

Yes, because of that he solely played as supportish roles in competitive lately. Problem is he needs levels and items so badly. I think he becomes a threat if he outfarms/outlevels enemy heroes especially supports. There are better gankers and/or offlaners to do the same job.
I enjoy playing him but even in pubs it is hard to fit him into a proper line-up. He can use a buff like make snowball point target or something to joint spells(viable in hard lane at least) or reduce the cooldown/manacosts. He is underwhelming right now.

I mean target ground or target area or something. Also you can only target enemies and naturals. He needs something to be more viable.

Tuskar is pretty viable, you just need to use it well. If you're going support Tuskar, max sigil, it's ridiculously op in pushing strats or teamfighting on early levels.
If you're going ham Tuskar, just hit shards and hit R, chance that target won't die after it if you're not 1v5 it miserable. Either way, if they made snowball growth a bit faster i guess it could move Tuskar to be more competitive but he's decent nowdays already.

Hmm yeah, I can see the thin line. The problem is that for snowball to be viable, it really needs to move fast as you'll suddenly be stuck in one place with every hero you grabbed with you. And in most teamfights, thats not where you want your heroes to be: stuck together in a small area. If its faster, its possible to get in and grab a target before the enemy can react (for an example, it would be possible to gank someone in lane. Instead of snowballing after them, end up under their tower because its too slow, and have 3 enemy heroes port on top of you before the snowball even finishes).
I honestly think a faster, but static speed is the way to go. (just have it at like 400-600-800-1000, instead of 150% of tusk speed (or 100% of everyone in it lol)).

Yeah, I like the idea of a static, non-scaling speed. Just set it to 600 or something at all levels.
Edit: What if you let Tusk cast while in the snowball?

Thats an interesting idea as well. I like it. Would let him cast ice shards while engaging, making it easier to hit the snowball.

To be completely honest it's hard to miss snowball when you hit shards if target has no force staff or Earth Spirit/Chen or something like that.
And it will just transform Tuskar for worse version of Slark who will run around the map, pick support and run away. Other playstyles won't use this potential change just.

Guys, what are good time stamps to get tinkers items? Assume that it's all pick and we start with 3 branches and a tango. I usually get the bottle at the 1:30 mark, soul ring at around 3 minutes in. However, I have a hard time getting my BoT and I get it at around 15 minutes in, that has been my biggest challenge so far, getting BoT faster. Then of course my dagger and sheepstick is late. I'm still having a hard time last hitting with tinker.

Make full use of ancient/jungle stacking. Esp on radiant, the ancients are close enough to stack, even without leaving the mid lane.
|
don't get soul ring before bots unless you need them to clear stacked ancients bots should come in before 10 minutes, ideally around 8

I feel like it'd be useful all the time. And Tusk is, right now, an inferior version of Slark who runs around the map, picks off supports and runs away. Unless you use the Sigil-max build, which to me is incredibly boring and completely counterethical to the hero (although super effective obviously).

soulring before bots only on radiant or you have supports stacking jungle in dire. As you get closer to 2k play passive/jungle. The reason BoT come out slow is if u die. Dying sets your BoT back about a minute plus each death. Jungling is kuch better than dying because even if you are forced to jungle bot will usually still come at 10-11 latest
