Since you give no details, I answer with a pure theory craft: Pick axe! yeah, Axe hilariously effective against Huskar but you will still left with Axe in your team ...
Whats wrong with axe? He has the best aura in the game: Increases manliness of team by 100%

Wouldn't necrolyte work the same vs Huskar? I like void too...just chrono him when he's on low health ---> right click him to death.
Question: How do I handle a Prophet vs Lone Druid 1v1 lane as Prophet? I started Tango + salve + 3 branch + mantle, then went straight for midas. I tried right clicking the bear as often as I could and harassing Druid with my treants. He would just out trade me and zone me out with the bear tho. Not sure if it's a shitty matchup or I just got outplayed, but I ended up with like 24 last hits at 7 minutes. Played as aggresively as I could before he hit level 3 bear, at which point the lane started to suck. I didn't die or anything tho.
Should I have made phase boots or upgraded null talisman before midas or something?

Necrolyte's ult is magic damage.

Does Necro ulti still kill Huskar, due to the magical nature of the ulti damage?
|
Basically no.
Huskar acquires more magic resist the lower his HP is so EITHER he isn't low enough for necro to kill him OR he is low enough that his magic resist shrugs off virtually any source of magic damage.
However the stun is useful and necro's aura is hp-removal so the hero isn't purely invalidated.

My bad, I thought necrolyte had a kill threshold for some reason (hardly ever play him).
Hopefully I'm not wrong on this too, but Timbersaw's spells (with the exception of whirling death unless you hit a tree) are pure damage, which shouldn't be mitigated by Huskar's passive.

that's why we had OD and I was timber. unfortunately, huskar+grave too OP

As in, there needs to be a hell of a lot more than just huskar/dazzle to kill those heroes, and you have just as many allies as they do

Is Rod of Atos worth the 3,1k gold on anyone? I feel like slow+20+250hp should be good but I cannot just see who would actually want to spend gold for that instead of blink or forcestaff or harder disables such as sheep or orchid. Is the item just a bit too expensive for what it gives or is it just a niche pickup that works wonders in some very specific scenario but almost useless outside of it?

You dont rush midas in that lane. Focus on hitting his bear and build phase boots to kite the bear/hero. This lane is 50/50 and depends highly on player skill. Also it depends on if your mid lane ganks or not.

And then Lone Druid crushes the lane. Once LD hits 5, just stay far back, and try to get any last hits you can get.

At least in theory it's nice for Skywrath Mage since he can really use the stats and the slow is better than his own thus making landing big ults easier if your team lacks lockdown, still situational.
Personally I don't play Skywrath Mage and I can't recall when I bought the item last time, it's definitely one of those items that aren't bad but other items are better.

Skywrath mage: It's all fun and games until somebody picks a nyx/pugna.
Then you might as well abandon.

Guys, what do you do as a carry if 1) your support, no sorry, duo lane partner pushes the creep wave? Should I be stacking the pull camp? What do I do? Or 2) the opposing duo harasses the shit out of you to the point where it is uncomfortable to even last hit under your tower?

Others like gyro have good spells, so you can try forcing fights if your team comp allows it. You can also communicate to your team that your lane's shit and ask for a gank (again, depends on the heroes). At worst just stay in experience range and try to pull whenever you can.
If you wanna go all captain hindsight, try to avoid carries who can't hold their own in lane when you play pubs, unless you're sure you're gonna have an easy lane. You should never take heroes like Spectre or Void if you expect a dual lane vs dual lane imo

Personally I lament my own stupidity at not queueing with decent friends and then resign myself to hoping my other lanes are winning.
Often this involves dissappearing into my own jungle for ~10 mins. Pulling as a carry is surprisingly gold and XP efficient if you are getting harassed out of lane. Nothing like a free farm lane of course, but enough to stay in the game.

Or at least shift your item build and play style accordingly. Buy items that have an earlier pay off and still work from behind (drums, Diffusal, etc.). Heroes like Spectre and Void can do decent mid-game (in pubs) in some respects (Spectre with desolate and void with well placed ults). Since it's a pub there should be some openings that you wouldn't get in better skilled/more organized games. A single, or few, good ganks can easily open things back up and give you some time to farm and catch up.
Maybe that doesn't fully work/apply and playing heroes with earlier payoffs is probably a good idea, but really I just HATE how so many players fail in lane then decide that building a midas or battlefury is a good idea. It's so annoying, especially if they're slow at building it, because it puts your team at such a disadvantage. If you're already behind the enemy team is going to push that advantage and if your 'carry' only has pers or even a full bfury and nothing else you're going to lose teamfights and fall even further behind.

Then you might as well abandon. Nobody ever buys Necrobook on Skywrath, though TBH it's actually good against both of those heroes.
Still annoying, but actually makes your life much easier in both cases.
