We had pretty good map control, and I was using Starfall and Leap a fair bit to clear the lane and the other teams jungle, so that could have been the cause, but I'm assuming if we were fighting a lot I would have the same issues.

Drums are probably one of my favourite items so I'm not sure why, come to think of it. On August 15 2013 11:59 ahswtini wrote: Bottle generally. And yeah, Mirana isn't a flashfarming hero, save mana for kills. Thanks, I think it was worth it in this case, since the other team was turtling pretty hard and I had the two sets of mana boots to keep me going, but in the future I'll keep that in mind.

Twice in the game I had Arrows miss him that appeared to be right next to him, though earlier I had hit a creep that seemed (relatively) much further away.

To expand on this, I would say to know maybe 3-4 heroes for each role (mid, safelane farmer, support, offlane, jungle).

The arrow is weird sometimes, not the SF. You definitely should choose a set of heroes to get better with if your totally new. Random is for people who actually have the mechanics to do every hero. A set of heroes that will be good will be at least 2 from each role, carry/mid/support. Then once you've known what do you like and what is expected you can start branching out into all the other heroes in the game. It would really be nice to be able to see those things before locking in a hero. Nope. You cant minimize it. I wish it could too ![]()

To add to this, I think the hitboxes are screwed up? Or maybe it's pudge. But meat hook can be thrown outside the selection box and still hit you. Of course, I'm under the assumption selection boxes = hit boxes. I wouldn't see any reason for it to be different, except if it's part of balance for some heroes to have different hitboxes. I guess another possibility is that the graphics of the hook don't really match its trajectory.

How do you know where to farm as a team's 1? I get into situations where we take out tower safe lane and I just dont know where to go from there. Especially hard for me if most lanes are pushing, i just don't feel safe in any lane to go ahead and farm up more. If i'm going antimage, FV, or some melee carry, i probably have my BF by then and can just go into the jungle; If i'm playing a carry like drow, morph, sniper, mariana, or another ranged, I don't really go into the jungle to kill creeps because i feel it takes too long to kill a camp versus the HP you lose. Maybe I'm wrong in this.
