The "Doom" debuff actually *is* removed by Aphotic Shield, which is why Icefrog had to make Doomed heroes invalid targets for Aphotic Shield. In fact if you started casting Aphotic Shield before the Doom was applied, you would successfully cast it and remove the Doom.
The only other case where the "Doom" debuff is used is Legion Commander's ultimate, though because the Taunt portion of the Duel effect is still triggered, this is not removed--and the end result is that using Aphotic Shield on a target engaged in a duel allows them only allows certain edge case item activations (IIRC removing the Doom effect allows them to activate Wand for example) and not total freedom of movement.

Question: I've asked before but, since S&Y isn't an orb anymore does it stack with itself now? Diminishingly obviously, but does it stack?

If you have a magnus on your team as AM, what item should you start with? BF seems like overkill on the cleave, but rushing manta leaves you with quite big mana problems.

And it's not overkill at all in teamfights. RP on 2-3 + empower and BF means you're melting 2-3 people at once.

what does this "mvgame" thing mean.. that people end their comments with in various forums?

A lot of people forget that

Will the automatic trigger on borrowed time not happen if abbadon is sufficiently overkilled? I assume axe can ult abbadon without having to worry about it triggering but I was wondering if any sufficient source of damage would prevent the trigger.
o wait i re read the description and I think i know the answer, i thought it triggered when you went below 400 but I guess its when you take damage when already below 400. so i guess anything can prevent it?

It does not trigger if you take a lethal damage instance when you are above 400 HP (e.g. you get Lion ulted at 500 HP).

I just created a quick test game to test this, and yes it works. I can't say how the math behind it works but I assume it's the same as with stout shield?

If your maim triggers twice the second should just refresh the debuff duration. You can Greater Maim and Lesser Main something though, although you might need two different heroes to apply (one has S&Y and the other has Halberd for example).
Actually that is on the bug list.

I've played a LOT of Dota 2, and somehow I don't know what creep skipping is.
Can someone explain it to me? I'm sure I've seen it and hell maybe even done it. I'm just not sure what it is.

It's when you kill the enemies creep wave on the other side of their tower (between their T2 and T1 typically). You'll see this with Axe or Darkseer most commonly.
|
More in general creep skipping is when one kills the enemy creepwave before it meets your own creeps. It was at some points forbidden in dota leagues, along with backdooring(killing a tower without your creepwave).

Got it. Thanks for the clarification guys. I've obviously done it and seen it, just didn't know the terminology.

If Bane nightmares a clockwork who has battery assault active, does it stop batter assault?

No, battery assault is triggered once and then continues to be active (even through astral and disruption iirc). Think of it like Eclipse or Song of the Siren in the way it works.
