when you look at sc2, there are 6pools or other stuff to get into erly lead or even win very fast.
so is there something comparebale for dota? 5 man aura push strat comes in mind, the goal is to destroy tower , rax and throne as fast as possible. so something like Lesh,Pugna,Venge, Luna,Kotl and just go mid. you either win by <10 minutes or you just give the enemy a big advantage in level/gold Level 1 rosh. Level 1 Rosh is not at the same degree as 6 pool as in if you failed (enemy scouted) and both team back out from rosh pit then there are no advantage for either side (maybe slight disadavantage for the team that going Rosh due to their heroes and skill picks) but the game will reset to normal unlike 5 man push mid where you either win the game right there or the enemy know how to counter it and you lose
Teams can get pretty low health when doing level 1 Rosh depending on the composition though, if an enemy team engages them at the right time it can result in quite a few deaths

to summarize it up, we have following cheese-like strats: - lvl1 rosh - 5men aura push mid - AK47 (whatever that is)
rosh has some cons and pros to do it, but needs communication. so not useful for solo-pubs i think. 5men aura has the same problem (unless you get lucky randoms)
what about smoke at lvl1 and go as 5 into he savelane to pick up the farming hero? you lose some farming time on your own, since you are not in lane, but you slow down the opponents farm and if you carry takes the kill + FB he might have a good start.

or you can combine them and do a zenith (not sure) and lvl1 rosh into smoke into 0 seconds first blood at rune spot into 2 minute tower :p

not zenith
An unknown korean team did that. To be honest that first blood complee fail for other team.

ah yes, I only remember watching it during the weekend, though it was alienware cup
wonder what was he thinking, oh no they got rosh, better check the rune spawn .... :D

how does living armor interact with stout shield?
If the stout shield procs and blocks 20 damage and there is no leftover damage, does the living armor lose a charge. If something deals 40 damage to a hero with stout shield and living armor and the stout shield procs, is the entire 40 damage blocked or does the living armor and stout shield both block the same 20 damage?

Living armor is applied after all reductions, while stout and vg before even armor, so they should stack no problem

The No Tidehunter one? Where you send in Nature's prophet to die to Roshan at lvl 1, and have the rest of the team ready to run behind to grab as many kills as possible with Np tp'ing back to help since there's no cooldown on lvl 1 death.

Tiger Power v symphony g1 in NSL probably. :p

There's still the question of whether or not an attack for 0 damage counts as an attack and will consume a charge. From what I can tell the damage has to be >5 to cause a charge to be used up so if the damage is blocked completely by PMS then no charge is used. The damage threshold does not consider what living armor will cover (so 6 damage will consume a charge even though the target takes 0 damage after the living armor reduction).

This is correct. It is also why you can get a longer duration of living armor on a tower under siege by armoring the tower, then glyphing it before the armor breaks.

How is abaddon supposed to be played? What items are good on him? Dota recommended items seems strange to me.

I logged into dota and I had a new item (sniper gun). That's not terribly uncommon, but this particular one says it can't be traded or crafted. How did I get this?

New players get that item when they complete all the tutorials. Valve decided to give all existing players the gun as well so that those of us who are OCD about gotta-collect-them-all wouldn't have to sit through all the tutorials.

*Wouldn't have to sit through limited matchmaking.
Far too many people playing limited complained that they couldn't pick their favorite heroes, and they can't play a single hero in the pool.

I thought that, but the cape I got from the tutorial is tradeable, which made me think otherwise.

sorry, can't check right now
does aphotic shield remove doom, or does it only absorb the damage?
|
I would really be surprised if doom was removed by an 8 second cooldown spell.
