Like the free coaching thread for sc2? Recently I feel like I've stagnated as a player. Before I could clearly see in which ways I could improve as a player, but now I have a harder time identifying bad judgments. | ||

There's usually a horde of trench-dwellers, myself included, who come out of the woodwork at the opportunity to tell someone why they're bad. You won't have any shortage of input. It's helpful to specify the level of play. | ||

Try to coordinate with your team after an engagement to get rosh/towers or force buybacks then back. It seems to be a huge problem whenever I watch my friends at that level. Again, building off the coordination/communication thing I've noticed most low/mid 3ks don't realize exactly how valuable smokes are. If you're dominating lanes and have good wards that let you know where the enemies are ask the supports to buy a smoke/buy one yourself and go pick off one or two heroes. Then follow that up by doing what I said above and get objectives. | ||

Communication is generally the key unless you're playing one of those heroes who can pretty much solo carry, gank, farm etc and win the game by yourself (TA, Storm to name two). Otherwise try to organize your team if you feel you're ahead. Tell them to look for fights as 5, invade enemy jungle, or gather up for 5man pushes on a tower. Doing all those things as a team minimizes the chance of throwing away your lead. Staying passive or going on solo missions can of course work in some games, but its much riskier. | ||

To be specific, this is my match ID i played recently:1595251625 I am not sharing it because i had nice stats, it is a good example that i couldnt control the game. Tuskar and slark with lothar was a huge map control for them farming jungle or pushing lanes was impossible for my team. You will see i was hugging tower at 27 until 30 because i didnt know what to do! I believedwe had a nice late game and good team fight, golems, dp ulti and gyro ulti, yet Warlock was using solo ultis. They could have finished earlier with a good furion and push. Undying made good rotations and stopped gyro in early game, maybe it was my mistake to safelane, gyro should have gone. Communication is important, i can commınicate with my friends however when i solo match; mostly people dont listen my advices yet what i say is not always true. Every player has its style, sometimes i dont find it wise to push when we are in low health, yet my teammates do not agree. It is hard to say what is the best way; like taking roshan or pushing? Rotating or staying at lane? etc. etc. I watch pro players, mostly their team make mistakes however they control the game and can finish properly. Yet I am at 3k, i believe i have other mistakes prior to communication. I can share other replays if you are interessed. Edit: Writing | ||

if u had 100~200 more lasthits like u should, u'd have another big item this is probably true for pretty much all ur games if ur 3k also this is probably a bkb game, their whole team does mostly magic damage and u need it for sedge anyway | ||

I dont believe i needed bkb since they are depended on physical damage. I think i had enough farm in early game for my core items.You are right i haven't get enough farm in mid/late game , but i believe it was not possible to farm with their snowball heroes. Do you have any suggestions how to farm while they have 3 heros with lothar, since i have gem slark and tuskar could pick up me then escape easily. I dont think at somepoint of the game it not possible for some heroes to farm, against the formation of enemy team. | ||

I'm also noticing the thing where you guys get like 2 kills then run around chasing/farming more instead of grouping and pushing. At 25 or whatever three of you have the right idea after you kill their np and try to push mid, but you're missing gyro and lesh who are off doing their own things despite the only splitpushing threat (np) being dead. Try to get them to come. Mostly it's kinda like what I said above, half your team is splitpushing/farming almost always and just gets picked off by their 3 invis heroes. It's 30 minutes in and I have to go soon but your team got HEAVILY outwarded. It's pretty game losing when the other team has complete knowledge of where you guys are and what you're doing so they can safely pick off whoever they want. Try to pay attention to where exactly they are picking your team off and how they would know where that person is. You might be able to figure out where they have wards and point that out to your supports. The gem pickup was nice but you got it and just kinda sat mid doing nothing with your team. Tell a support to move with you as you farm jungle/ancients and deward while you do so. So ya mostly just poor positioning poor communication and poor warding. Gotta go for now though. | ||

I dont think at somepoint of the game it not possible for some heroes to farm, against the formation of enemy team. the enemy team does decent amount of magic damage, and snowball/pounce/cask/maledict are all really annoying for bristle to deal with also bkb is very good versus sedge i watched the first ~35 minutes of ur replay and you're playing WAY too scared the turning point is at 25 minutes when u buy gem and then do absolutely nothing except sit by a t2 for 8 minutes, then die instantly in a teamfight @33 minutes since u are by far the most farmed hero on ur team, ur entire team cannot farm while u are hugging a t2 because they'll get picked off and die u had a very sizeable lead in the game and threw it all away standing next to a t2 tower. if u just followed dp or gyro around, or even just went off to farm on ur own (at 25 minutes ur pretty unkillable) they wouldn't have pulled so far ahead just look ur XP/gold from 25 to 33 minutes http://yasp.co/matches/1595251625/graphs also blademails not very good on bristle in general, though i don't think it was really an issue, at least for the first 35 minutes | ||
