I'm glad to see so many pubstars getting picked up and proving to be very strong.
These guys are playing like the real deal and I think they will be a top-tier team this season. Miracle is actually an amazing player and remains a lot more calm and analytical than a lot of other players during chaotic situations which is why I think he seems to be a notch above.
Secondly, they look to be very 'pubby' as someone mentioned but this is good in the sense that they are willing to do what they want rather than just copy the meta, which is obviously good, especially with the new patches coming in.
the main problem is pubs are a hard place for supports with competitive potential to shine and the scene is already pretty saturated with solid cores while there's a lack of solid competitive captains/supports/offlaners etc that aren't nearly as easy to scout from pubs
biryu's been pretty much a letdown in this regard

I am not sure it's impossible to scout for supports in pubs so much as
a) You need to lower the MMR standards because support players can't get 7000+ MMR with any consistency at the moment.
b) Self fulfilling prophecy problem. When you want to get noticed and play pubs to do so, the way to be noticed is high MMR so everyone who wants to get noticed plays core positions.
I also dispute that there are so many solid cores around. Plenty of established cores are considered solid, but are actually nowhere near the level of many pub-stars.
In general, I also think role-swaps aren't as big a deal as people make it out to be. It's not like soccer or basketball. I'd expect Burning to be a better support than the actual support players for teams in the 25th to 30th ranks in the world (if not even higher ranked squads). If someone has 8k MMR, I'm pretty sure they can play support well. You just can't get uber-high MMR without a comprehensive understanding of the game, very good mechanics and top-notch decision making.

so 5jungz vs monkey business in an hour. in my opinion, this are the two eu teams with the most potential. who do you think will win?

Chaos will win, I'm mean monkeys :D I always feel like their games are complete chaos.

actually god tier team. rotations are janky, but they make them work. notail plays his lil heart out 24/7 and its apparent that he still has really good synergy with fly. Definitely the team to watch going into ESL imo

na bro, ez win for 5 jungz;) well seems like no one likes them, they dont even have an own team page. and i am too lazy to make one. i just hope the games will be good, and not stomps from one side.

I don't know if it's that no one likes them or if it's that no one cares enough to make a fanclub for them
be the change you wish to see and so forth

But its kinda pathetic to show up at your opponents tab and flame them because they are losing to your favorite team. Feels like one of those times when c9 lost people would go to c9 team page and say "fEEd" and "envy sucks ass". Better question here is does anyone else feels like MB is kind of a rtz/s4 secret2.0 ? I mean miracle like rtz is the sole carry of the team with amazing farm and amazing plays while notail has that s4 feeling of being terrible in both mid and safe lane and only mediocre on 1 champ(tiny) as opposed to s4 qop. Well his tiny is pretty legit, but everything else is like wow bad, not to mention that bloodseeker...

i dont think thats the story of these games. they got outdrafted and outplayed. the issue also seems to be, that they struggle, when miracle doesnt get am. or lets say if the whole team doesnt get their comfort heroes.
|
To be completely honest, I have always felt that Notail has been kinda meh when he doesn't get his comfort heroes, but it didn't really show untill after he joined C9. On Secret it almost always felt like he got his comfort heroes, ES, ET, IO etc. But on C9 he started to get heroes that wasn't really his niche, and it seems the same things are happening now.
This is not a hate post on him, I'm a big Notail fan, just adding to the discussion.
To me though, on of their weakest links are Crit and at times Fly (more Crit than fly), I never really feel like they do that much. Moon has been playing really good though, has some really good plays on offlane, as long he doesn't play something like Legion, jesus fuck.

His IO was quite questionable during TI5.
I feel there is a lack of underlying gameplan, and they lose lanes way too often, then making a comeback on the back of Miracle- (and sometimes Moon). They need to find a way not to flub the laning stage so horribly.
