Well to be fair who really expected this team to actually beat just even the T2 chinese teams .. but they manage to qualify at least top 12 on the hardest competition for their standards that's kinda impressive. I swear they were gonna do a something similar to arrow gaming TI4.

Rave’s win over HellRaisers secures at least P5.1 million and a guaranteed Top 8 finish. They made history by having the highest net income total as Filipino gamers. Previous record owners were PVP Superfriends and their P2M winnings in the World of Tanks World Finals. -http://www.mineski.net/news/4026-dac-streaking-secret-no-more-rave-makes-ph-history pretty awesome, now im very hopeful for a direct TI5 invite!!

After seeing their games starting from the tiebreakers, I could safely say the team's TI5 invite caliber.

I don't think that they can become like Newbee because they didn't win anything yet. Newbee became way too relaxed after they've won TI4 and obviously didn't practice much for DAC, while Rave seem to improve every day.

Bam Aquino is an OK guy, whose track is similar to Ninoy's - youth and university support and legislation, with an anti-corruption background. Since gaming is the new drug for the youth, he has to be able to understand it and maybe help parents and youth deal with the issues it brings in a balanced way. Remember, local legislation is VERY strict on gaming, and this has actually driven more children away from school than towards it. My wife's cousin is in danger of falling out of the top private university because he has a "serious" Dota stack, and I can see that the family is doing all it can, to no avail. There has to be a balance somewhere between gaming passion and education. Bam will need to understand that if he's to connect with the youth of today. TL DR: It's not his idea, but it's within his field of interest, so plus points for everyone.

that point is currently getting some progress as we speak, if it proceeds well enough then it'd be safe to say the government is working on it and i can very well say that the eSports management side(or something you could call that in the PH) is working hard on it as well. all we can hope for is a bright future for all :D EDIT: On February 09 2015 13:43 icystorage wrote: your wife's cousin's family should let him do whatever he wants but also let him support himself for him to realize life isnt easy THIS. The thing with kids these days is that they fail to realize that. (I dunno if I'm qualified to use "kids" but it sounds better lol)

I watched them all throughout last year in KDL and they have definitely improved leaps and bounds. In a way, their run at DAC reminded me of MVP's run at TI4 Qualifiers. It's always nice to see a hard working team improve and get rewarded. Best of wishes to them moving forward!

grats again to rave and I think that Jeyo would have looked a lot better with bleached hair than with a beard haha. I like the tribute to iceiceice and fear respectively though.

they are gonna participate in THREE major lans as far as i know The Summit, MLG and Major All-Stars. Travelling can be very, very exhausting. You wouldnt have time to practice strats and would resort to using staple strats

Nope, Jeyo and Ninjaboogie wanted to go back to their respective home countries. (Canada and USA) . They are probably homesick as hell, and it might be easier to qualify from NA for future tournaments with EG being directly invited. For all the hype around Col, they have yet to prove that they can play decently vs international teams. Who knows, we may see an old Team Fire reunion (minus Hannah Montana who has reportedly retired for good) for upcoming majors.
