I'm afraid of newbee because both Hao and mu are very strong core players, and I see navi crumbling to chuan led ganks. The same exact way how navi gets picked off over and over again by OG. Then Hao and mu will get way too big.

But who knows. Maybe wings will knock og/newbee out of the winner bracket for us, while we make our easy road to the grand finals. Given our shit bracket draw in manila and overall performance this season, I'd say we deserved the luck.

You've seen how Na'Vi played against Wings
I'd say with Newbee it'd be 50:50 right now

As with a lot of other teams anyways, Dota is a lot about luck, specifics during the day/game etc.

Because iceice and innocence are not chuan. Chuan makes gank squad happen. Wings style is some aggressive 5man-ish mixed with weird unusual picks. I see navi handling that, since both like to fight.

Newbee is aggressive early game mixed with some super solid OG-tier defensive mid game designed to farm up on their cores, a style which I feel navi will have a hard time cracking. I could easily see navi trying to find pick offs but only able to catch a sacrificial target, and losing 3 in return, while chuan gank squad easily kills dendi general or Ditya over and over again into getting more objectives.

Ditya playing the loda role: just make use of the space the team makes and play stable solid carry dota. I hope navi doesn't give him timber/axe anymore like in past tournaments. Guy shouldn't be tasked to make plays. He just need to carry normally, because that's what he is really good at!

General though. Monster of a playmaker. When you don't shut him down, he just controls the game.

Overall navi's problems are still the same. I don't see them beating og or newbee. Liquid or wings look doable to me though, because they don't hard counter our style. Hope for a good draw in ti. We can go very far if the dota gods permit!

I honestly wish they had this lineup + Xboct instead of Ditya.Ra. Not that I hate DityaRa or anything but he just seems to lack that threat factor (kind of like EE lolz).

I feel like General is their threat factor now. The fear that he just wreck lane is too big for the other team that tries to pick some greedy carry to be able to go dual lane and let their other support roam. This creates a lot of space for Ditya.Ra & Dendi to farm. And they can already farm efficiently alone.

Also NaVi has a secret weapon that other team's don't: unpredictable picks. The game 4 vs secret is an example about it. They are ready for that Huskar pick, but the juggernaut pick threw Puppey completely off, making him ban Timber and just left Huskar in the pool. That was one hell of a pick.

Yeah
These picks can also backfire though
And they can get into their own heads still
Seriously Na'vi both ending in bottom 4 and winning TI wouldn't surprise me

First, Dytia ra is way better (compared to actual, or at least the last legs, Xboct), second, Dytia ra playstyle fits this navi (and the meta) a lot better. And last but not least, he can actually play other positions like mid, which is always great considering you can always throw a curve ball on 4/5th pick

I think Top 4 is a bit to confident, but a Top 6 finish is possible.
It highly depends on their drafting. Sometimes it is on point aand than totaly off. Their oveall Playstyle is, however, solid.

Legendary XBOCT veno carry remember?

I think this past tournament Navi has shown they can swap lanes and heroes which I was very surprised and happy about. Hope they improve their variety and work on some target strats for OG/TL. Really analyzing what their weaknesses are and hoping to exploit them. I'll be happy if they get top 6 while playing some good games along the way.

Heck I'm happy to watch any of the games. Last year I was away all of July and Valve thought it was good to move it earlier than they normally hold it. The only game I watched was Artstyle self graving against VG

Haha I remember that one, and so many feeds and misplays from him. Artstyle was necessary for the team spirit and leadership last year...

While being a serious burden with his in-game skill.

He actually might be the single biggest factor of Na'Vi resurgence, the leadership has stayed but he went from an in-game liability to single handedly shredding the opposing team like he's done with his chen against EG when he completely ruined Fear's game and therefore EG's whole gameplan.

We were talking about this in the GD thread, as much as a upgrade would be someone like FNG (without team), i dont think its worth the trouble, not at this moment.

You can see the boys are happy playing together, sonneiko draft is getting better and better with every tournament.

And to be honest, Artstyle is indeed playing better, he had some amazing plays in SL.

Do i think this is a TI winning team ? No, im not sure, it COULD happen, but as to brute force their way into winning TI, no. Do i think this is the perfect NaVi as of today ? Of course.

Eh FNG is out of the question, he just doesn't have what it takes to lead a CIS team. And in that region of spazzy players constantly falling apart being the leader that keeps the team together in the longer run is what really matters.

That's why Artsyle made the team better a year ago even with his shitty ingame skill, and that's why pretty much anyone can be replaced besides him now that he delivers ingame too

I think it's doable, hell maybe better. WIll it be tough, of course so. But I think of it this way, Navi right now is ranked 5th in the world.

Above them are OG, Liquid, Wings, Newbee in that order. Wings they played one series vs, lost 2-1 but gave drow away every game. I think they are beatable. I say 50-50 odds. Newbee we haven't ever played to the best of my knowledge with these rosters. I'd say Newbee slight favorites, at best 60-40, odds could change depending on how TI goes. The big two are OG and Liquid. They are not unbeatable, Navi has beaten OG before at epicenter, but it's been a while.

If Starladder win is enough to help them overcome their mental block and play tight dota, I think they have shown enough draft versatility and styles to certainly have a shot at beating them. 65-35 right now would be the odds I'd give off gut feeling.

So I think Top 4 is certainly doable as long as they don't face in elimination bracket OG and Liquid back to back. I think if you want a dark horse outside the top 4 to take TI, Navi has to be up there.

I'd put them in the same place as MVP. I think top 4 for both squads is doable, winning is possible, but not likely.

The group stage matches against OG and Liquid could be the breaking point for them

Lol nobody can replace Artstyle. FNG is the most narrow minded captain I've seen and he's worse than Ivan in every aspect. I probably wouldn't bring Puppey back either cause he's been playing really greedy for the past two years and honestly I don't see him as a better person or captain than Artstyle
