Heck yeah! Now back to training. Na'Vi is top 8 now probably. Still pretty inconsistent vs Secret.

Good result boys!

Not unexpected though given that fnatic was the only team on par with Navi in term of recent performance. Both EG and Secret were still recovering from their slump.

The best thing that I got out of this tournament was that the boys can now play from behind and still win. They have always been good at rolling over teams in early/mid game. This certainly added a lot to the horizon. Now with extra cash, it's time for a 4-week therapy session to get over the OG/Liquid mental block XD

Ditya playing the loda role: just make use of the space the team makes and play stable solid carry dota. I hope navi doesn't give him timber/axe anymore like in past tournaments. Guy shouldn't be tasked to make plays. He just need to carry normally, because that's what he is really good at!

General though. Monster of a playmaker. When you don't shut him down, he just controls the game.

Overall navi's problems are still the same. I don't see them beating og or newbee. Liquid or wings look doable to me though, because they don't hard counter our style. Hope for a good draw in ti. We can go very far if the dota gods permit!

NaVi is a fun team to watch, I like a lot of their heroes. Looking good for a pretty high finish at TI.

NaVi caught lady luck today! Jk they played well, I wouldn't blame it all on Secret either, you need to handle your shit in the Finals.

I honestly wish they had this lineup + Xboct instead of DityaRa. Not that I hate DityaRa or anything but he just seems to lack that threat factor (kind of like EE lolz).

NaVi doesn't ban Drow, I have seen it only once. Are they trying to learn how to beat her or just thick heads?

They need to learn how to beat it before TI, I support their decision to let it through.

If they'll have to auto expend a first ban on drow in every game against better teams during TI it could carry a handicap that prevents them a good finish (which is TOP8 I'd say)

I also think is good to learn how to deal with it, but even teams like OG and TL ban her. I just ask them to try the first game and the second ban her, for the sake of winning a tournament after so long.

This is their only chance to win a tournament in like a year and wasting it like that feels so sad.

Well I doubt they feel that way. The only people that want them to prioritise a tournament like this are fans right now, not even themselves...

Every single better place at TI gives you ridiculously higher prize money compared to tournaments like this one, by far the most fans watch the event... And if letting drow through against a really good team so they can analyze the games, learn from them and come up with counters for TI means they'll go from 1st to 3rd in Starladder but from 9th to 8th at TI I'm all for it.

True

Edit: Welp, I gonna miss both series, I hate timezones... Good luck and enjoy the games guys.

Eh scratch all that my friend. They let it through on purpose in the Winner's bracket to analyze replays
And then pwn the very same team few hours later when they let Secret pick it again!

Genius move in the WB finals, and suddenly Na'Vi became even more dangerous. TOP8 would still be great success at TI
But I doubt anyone would be much surprised if they manage to go all the way at take the whole thing down.

Well I welcome someone stable when the +4 love to go chaotic. That way at least I know space created is well utilised. It's not like Ditya is always super passive when Navi goes davai. He is capable of joining them, but he just doesn't make plays on his own usually.

Several games where he choked, it's usually cuz navi relied on him to make plays. That's not gonna work well imo.

If they can start swapping him and Dendi seamlessly like they do with Huskar between 1+2 the team would be even scarier.

I hope this will prove to be a good confidence boost for Na'Vi going into TI6. People talk a lot about their mental blocks against teams like Liquid and OG, but stuff like this might go a long way in helping them overcome that problem.

I think that Ditya and Navi thrive together when sonneiko is playing wisp because it allows ditya to join all the fights he really needs to participate in. This is why his lycan is also very good; he farms like crazy and manages to get a lot done while his team tries to wreak havoc and then he joins when he needs to by running in like a calculated mad man. Maybe give him spectre/NP as well?

They probably will beat Newbee if they dont careful enough. Navi are the master laners and early doorknockers. But they also learn how to play lategame with huge proficency. If Hao get starved early and the team start fast pushing, Newbee probably gonna have a bad time.

OG & liquid is probably just a mental thing. If they can take a game out of their hands, they probably gonna win them.

stay humble bro;)
Just because they won a tournament without all the best teams doesnt mean they can beat anyone now. Still a good achievement for navi. Seems like the right teammates got the ti invite.

Honestly i still think liquid and og are like 2 steps ahead (but not only from navi, but from every team), and while i think both teams would beat navi anyway, it would not be a walk over anymore IMO, i think it wont be the stomps from other times

This win is a good morale boost. And those 15 min games are something.
Newbee probably know about the Huskar'd thing. But seriously, if they let GeneRaL get SK, I dont know if they could last more than 30 minutes with Hao somewhat having farm.

The boy can finish top 4 at TI for sure. Beating OG/Liquid is a still a big ask. I don't think we ever played against Newbee recently but on paper they're the favourite so I'd still give them the edge. MVP and Wings are definitely beatable, we just need a solid draft and refrain from going full davai and we'd be fine.

Edit:

Though it's likely that Navi will face OG in the first KO round, gets booted to LB and matched with Liquid so yea ... Dota god can be a dick sometimes.
