I assume people looked at streaks and got way more influenced than they should Na'Vi was the closest to take down super on-form Wings, have been beating strong teams consistently Only really straight up got outplayed by OG/TL who are top2 teams last few months and that got in their head.
Where EG has been dominating NA scrubs, Got rekt by and then beat Col who are not on form, same with DC So got themselves ridiculous winrate since open qualifier started, I can see why people would overvalue that

Yeah not happening because they are clearly the better team. EG has played against weak opponents and in game against CDEC.Y they looked shaky. Zai hasn't played pro dota in a year and sumail isn't anywhere to close to his form last year which EG desperately needs if they want to break through. That being said, it was hilarious to see people overrate OG so much.
0.38 vs 2.38 odds on VPgame LOL You mean Storm Spirit isn't anywhere close to his form last year, right?
Edit: Also, for those who whined about Dendi not leaving midlane.. there you go.

Its not about Storm. Its about Sumail as a player. He's played a lot of different heroes and his performances were all average. Whereas last year he shined every game on whatever hero u put him on

The meta favored playmakers and let them shine way more. Even Dendi the playmaker god had to adapt, Sumail just isn't there yet and they seem like navi 6months ago

How do you expect your mid to shine when he had to face a huskar with io lane. Let's be real

I didn't blame him for that. But he didn't shine in any other game this EG has played

First time Dendi is the favorite in a series against Puppey

NaVi doesn't ban Drow, I have seen it only once. Are they trying to learn how to beat her or just thick heads?

Obviously they are trying to find ways to counter it. They aren't the type of team to disrespect the strongest strat in the meta right now especially when they've lost it numerous times. This isn't too bad what they've done. They've discovered that Huskar + Wisp + lane dominators rape drow. Unfortunately for them, wisp will be banned against them almost every game now. I think the drafts they've tried could work again, but they'll have to ban the healers. For example in 2nd game against Secret, if there were like Lion and Dark Seer instead of aba and oracle then it would be an easy game for them.

If they'll have to auto expend a first ban on drow in every game against better teams during TI it could carry a handicap that prevents them a good finish (which is TOP8 I'd say)

I just ask them to try the first game and the second ban her, for the sake of winning a tournament after so long.
This is their only chance to win a tournament in like a year and wasting it like that feels so sad.

I don't like the batrider opening. He can get shut down if offline when prepared. And if there are counters, the hero just becomes irrelevant. Hope they learn!

The only people that want them to prioritise a tournament like this are fans right now, not even themselves...
Every single better place at TI gives you ridiculously higher prize money compared to tournaments like this one, by far the most fans watch the event... And if letting drow through against a really good team so they can analyze the games, learn from them and come up with counters for TI means they'll go from 1st to 3rd in Starladder but from 9th to 8th at TI I'm all for it.

Edit: Welp, I gonna miss both series, I hate timezones... Good luck and enjoy the games guys.

WE DID IT WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Yep no Oracle, Venge, Dazzle shit like that and Drow is food.
Its funny how after the Manila Major people laughed at Navi fans for saying we could beat teams outside of big 4. And u look at the stats now, we've beaten everyone outside of Wings, OG, Newbie and Liquid. They even owned Fanatic 3 series in a row
