Obviously the boys still got work to do, but it's day 1 and Navi will bounce back and make a good run. Quote me on this.
I was around starting TI3 so I don't remember. But I hope you are right. Now if only my own games I'd get some luck.

Think we have to be prepared to see Navi in LB. I still think we can 4-0 Alliance and Wings, but OG and LGD are too solid for us.

I don't know how much the teams are "holding back" now in the groups... but looking at all results, for now it looks reeeeeally close between all the teams! We have three 1:2:0 and three 1:1:1 teams; and in the other group four are 1:1:0 No team seems to "crush" everything!
So I think we have to wait for day 3 for "final thoughts"!

That's being very optimistic. Top teams can trade games against one another. Problem for Navi is that they have played 2 of the weakest teams in the group, but they went 1-1 in both. That shouldn't happen. Realistically, we're not going to fair well against OG, and LGD looks super solid.

The bois look scared to me, except Artsyle who imo is on another level compared to his teammates. Sonneiko plays very well, but drafting wise is still rough around the edges. Ditya is too much of a non factor, he lacks that boldness Hvost/Artstyle have, except when he plays Huskar. He just doesnt feel like a threat, at least to me. General seems ok, but he was usually given a very unfavorable lane so cant fault him too much. Dendi is Dendi, hit and miss but mostly hit, however its not enough when you compare him to Arteezy or Miracle. These are my observations, doesnt mean they are true. I want the bois to do well, but they need to man up a bit and follow Artstyle's example.
The games today will be even harder, I really wish they start off on the right foot.

Ditya positioning was poor. I thought his ember would have carried us against tnc since he had a good early game, but unfortunately got caught several times by roar and disruptor ulti. That game though was primarily Dendi fucking up his advantage.
Sonneiko has his share of faults though since it is inexcusable to lose 3 games out of 6 due to outdrafts.
General never had a good lane to do his stuff. I also don't like the idea of picking bat so early because it can be countered by io Oracle vs etc. Then your chief spacemaker can't have a good impact.

They are not playing their best, they really look scared. Ditya Ra is choking hard as always in major events. I wish we still had Hvost in those situations.
There is hope that after a good night and a bit of good pressure they come in shape now.

Yea. He choked hard in Manila. Now at TI he's getting caught often. I understand that he wasn't given the most protection, but still many deaths were unnecessary.
If they were to do a roster swap, he'd be the one to be replaced. I'd like resolution as carry.

For this tournament. Except my observation about Ditya, which seems to be an ongoing issue on most tournaments, especially the big ones.

Resolution imo is even worse than Ditya, he too lacks that threat factor and mechanically he doesnt seem like a world class carry. Im not saying Hvost is the only choice, he also has a big downside to him: his hero pool and recklessness which doesnt really rate him higher than Ditya or Resolution for that matter, but he does have certain qualities that made him the best carry at one point.
Roster swaps tend to weaken NaVi for a very long time, I dont want that, but perhaps swapping roles between Ditya and General can be a good thing. General imo is a very aggressive player, mechanically solid and he looks scary when he is ontop of his game, these are qualities that Ditya lacks. Ideally I would like Ditya to man up and get his head in the right place, but after such a long time of mediocre results Im thinking that perhaps he just can't get to that mental state that makes a great carry player.

Imagine if all the Bo2s were Bo3s. Think Navi could go 2-1. But you can't be a top team if you don't play to formats.
|
Think we're realistically going to finish bottom 2 for group A. Bo1 against what I think is likely to be MVP/Ehome. Our chances don't look good :\

I would call that a draft loss vs Alliance. In both games they should have picked Razor instead of Voker and Panda and they had the perfect opportunity since it was the last pick. Razor rekts both Naix and Ursa.

I agree. Both games were kinda single core vs dual core, with our core not exactly that great against theirs.

Anyone notices how ditya ra misses soo many last hits in lane ..either he is choking or he is just that bad

Ditya is fucking choking hard.

Artstyle still performing like a boss

Yea and Ditya isnt performing well ontop of that ...

Well we 2-0'd LGD! WOOH
Happy and upset with game 2 though. Happy that Navi recognised that they needed to split push, and they did so very well. Upset that they never needed to do that in the first place. The top push without Drow BKB etc should never had happened.
