It has a feeling of too little too late though.

Wings is a complete coinflip this tournament but OG is going to be difficult to take games of the way they are playing.

They needed to atleast split the Alliance and EG games to feel comfortable.

If Navi had 1 or 2 more wins, they probably could go upper bracket quite easily. But I dont see them 2-0ing OG AT ALL.

Well we 2-0'd LGD! WOOH

Happy and upset with game 2 though. Happy that Navi recognised that they needed to split push, and they did so very well. Upset that they never needed to do that in the first place. The top push without Drow BKB etc should never had happened.

Well we kept our chances to going to the upper bracket alive by a thread. So many missed opportunties and points in previous series.

That said, we need to win out, which will be tough, and hope for some luck, seven points might do it, but 8 is preferrable. Tough draw tomorrow, but let's hope the better drafting carries over.

Artstyle has been playing very, very well, he's not the weak link. I just feel we've been getting outdrafted in a lot of the losses.

Thats the problem with group stages overall in such low time, you have a bad day, you dont even have time to recover from that one from the day before, yesterday must have been pretty crushing for navi too, you dont even get 24h to fully recover and you have to face another day, on the other side of the road, you get a good day 1 and suddenly you are way more optimistic for day 2

In real sports, you have a bad day, you have more or less a full week to recover phisically AND mentally.

Ive never been a fan of these, i completely understand the reasons for esports tournaments to be like this and i would do it the same way, i just dont "like it" and i just dont feel comfortable with

Especially considering how (by nature) random is the dota 2 scene, 2 weeks ago, EG was super shitty, now they are top, maybe next week they lose the UB round 1 and the next day some bad luck strucks and gg, out of TI, thanks for participate

We still have a chance of upper bracket. Eg og alliance are likely to be top 3. Alliance has tnc and escape so I don't see them screwing up.

We just need to 2-0 wings which is very possible. Then hope for eg to 2-0 wings as well. Lastly we need escape to just take 1 game off tnc, and hopefully they cab do it with some qojqva LD shenanigans. It leaves us tied 6-6 with tnc, and a good chance of beating them in the tiebreaker. Lots of things need to go in our favour though.

Or we could just go 4-0 today and everything's settled

[Edit]

Oops. Not looking good. Thought wings were playing eg. They're playing LGD. Hmmm

[Edit 2]

OK. 2-0 isn't enough. We really need games off OG to have a chance. Realistically we should aim for 5th spot so as to decide our bo1 opponents. The losses to both tnc (thrown) and escape (stupid outdraft) were so punishing.

[Edit 3]

Could always do 4 way tiebreakers between LGD wings and navi and tnc lol. All finishing 6-8.

There's actually a 6-way tie at 7-7 scenario. Super unlikely, but, hey, stupid things happen.

But Na'Vi really needs to go 4-0 on the day if they want to make Upper.

Yep, need that 4-0, even 3-1 might not be enough. Going to be tough, but I'm going to keep rooting for them.

Alliance has EG and Escape, not TnC

Lower bracket seems more likely. 1-1 is the best they can hope vs OG, but I fear its going to be 0-2. Wings are too hit and miss this TI, hard to make any prediction. OG will most likely 2-0 TnC and they will be 1st/2nd place, the other 2 spots for the upper bracket will be a bloodbath. If LGD looses all 4 games today, Esc wins 2-0 against Alliance and 1-1 vs TnC, then NaVi might end up in the upper bracket or at least in a tie breaker with Wings/[A]/TnC. Basically Esc needs to take games off of the teams closest to NaVi, the more games they can take off of them the better for NaVi. Its very unlikely but not entirely impossible. EG could 2-0 Alliance making it even more plausible to end up in the upper bracket. But NaVi have to win 3 out of their 4 games today...

Hoping for better drafts from Sonneiko (not picking offlane 1st!) and better play from Ditya. General had an off day yesterday, he also needs to step it up.

I think navi has no hope today. Everytime I get confident with their performance, they disappoint me. When I start flaming them in my head (LGD game 2), they surprise me! So fuck navi

With group stages of TI being played behind closed doors, there's really no reason to play all of the groups in such a short time span. Heck, most viewers don't even like the whole 4 streams at a time thing either. Easy enough to space the groups out over a few days longer.

Funny you should say that, yesterday I cursed the hell out of them during the 2nd game with LGD and they won.

Fuck NaVi.

I agree completely, they could easily do 1 extra day and have it more spaced, honestly it should be 5.

Teams would probably accept too, just do 2-2-2-1 with a rest day in between day 2 and day 3, start monday, end friday.

Valve could even use that rest day to do interviews, more analysis, etc... TI is hype but i still think in terms of overall preparation esports are super awful when it comes to organization and what not

much better, finally navi getting a stride to smile upon, while i obviously care about upper brackets, i just want them to find confidence and go into the main event with full conviction of what they can do
