Yeah, Soinneko put up an insane performance on shaker for that win. And they have games where dendi goes 20-0-15 on QoP. If they can get some consistency they could go far. Easier said then done.

I think I'm pretty unbiased. I do agree that xboct needs to step up. Think that we may have been spoilt by him often performing well in LAN tournaments. A big part of xboct problem is how I see plenty of aimless movements, or eagerness to find fights, instead of farming. That said, he is not the only reason that navi are losing games. They need to better incorporate naga more, and not feed against track.

Oh shit. Vici navi. Life sucks. I'm sorry navi, but you're going down. I just don't think you can get your act together even if you get past Vici.

Arghhhh why must ti come to this.

As I said, there is room for improvement in Xboct performance and hero pool, but that is the smallest problem right now.

They are losing most games on their own, taking into account that their morale surely went down as days passed, making a correct observation about the whole group stage is impossible, but if we think about the first two days, we can only hope they will find a spot during these 3 days where they all make a commitment and a sacrifice for the greater good, meaning they should individually take the blame even if it is not theirs and transform that into something positive. Hear each other out and plan what to do late game.

So far it was sad because I wished for something better, but I am not disappointed as this was between my expectations.

Na'Vi can take one map of Vici, but they are more likely to beat themselfes. Besides, I think VG will train hard in this 3 days and regain some of their form.

Some Russian copypasta I found and translated.

I'm gonna be hated by all CIS DotA fans and Na`Vi fans in particular but I can't keep silence anymore. I can't understand why so many people are rooting for Na`Vi even today, who are they? Ask yourself what are Na`Vi? I will tell you Na`Vi are NOTHING.

First of all there are no strong teams, there are strong players. If players in a team get weak there's nothing left of the team but its title. For me Na`Vi are that hell of a squad with Puppey and Kuroky. They had excellent roster but they were trolling Puppey and Kuroky their style so those two left the team and what did they manage to achieve? Those two "laughing stock" guys are playing in Team Secret with godly roster and stomp on everyone else.

And Na`Vi are just sitting there and keep trolling everyone and everything while getting assfull of hairy dicks from all other teams. As for Artstyle, he's a horrible man who left the team for unclear reasons, bringing himself sky high, considering himself a god, then leaving DotA and hoping for lots of invitations, but there weren't too many. Then he realized he needed to raise some hype around himself and started promoting himself with YouTube videos about how legendary he is, gathering bringing all his team achievements together. But is Artstyle really this good?

He was good, all Na`Vi roster was good - note I'm writing this in past tense because nowadays they are worth nothing. They won TI1 with a good squad plus DotA2 was poorly understood by the other teams at the moment and the hero pool was limited. Two years after the release of DotA2 Na`Vi don't show any good play and today they are completely unprepared for the current patch, they having horrible picks, unable to invent a thing, picking heroes irrelevant for this patch.

What is keeping Na`Vi afloat? The overhyped Dendi who is now far from being the world's best midder. His MMR plummeted indicating the appearance of younger and more skillful men on the scene. All that is saving Na`Vi are Dendi, jokes about Pudge on mid, XBOCT`s rapiers and bananas and allegedly legendary captain Artstyle who has nothing to show now and pretty Na`Vi logo on bright yellow background. This is all what left from once legendary team - word and good memories. But no skill.

Today I'm burying the Na`Vi team, I'm ignoring their matches and bets, they don't exist for me anymore. After TI5 I hope to see a new young roster, new guys running for victory, just like Na`Vi were years ago. The team got devastated with too much attention, hype and glory.

If they don't make top 8, I think it's finally time for Dendi to leave the team.

How old is that guy ? 5 ? I mean, teams go through bad spots and moments left and right

Seriously i hate the esport community because they are always where the sun shine, the moment X team starts doing bad everyone just turn their backs like its nothing.

My football team here went 6 freaking years without a championship, and mind you that was the biggest drought, in fact we were destroyed in a classic during that time, did i stop rooting abd going to the stadium ? Hell no, i stood there, and we won the tittle last year.

I for one like this Na'VI Lineup
they should stop comparing themselves to the old Na'Vi
This is a solid T2 team and if they do any better than that, Kudos
Nothing ZG can do besides buying out empire/VP squad in it's entirety anyways

I like this Navi line up too, though I feel they are underperforming and are too hot and cold. But the line up isn't the problem.

by the power invested in Sonneiko and ARTSTYLE I believe that NaVi will at the very least get top 8 in TI5.

...assuming Funn1k and XBOCT pull through their slumps midway to the tournament, but thats pretty unlikely.

Would LOVE to see Secret vs NaVi in the fianls though, but seeing the way they are playing right now I don't think thats likely.
Keep moving forward

Dendi's interview after groupstage. Heartbreaking and confirming that Navi's mental strentgh is not far from a teenage girl during her period.

It is funny to hear Dendi how hard they try to be friends and spend time and such stuff, and then you see one of the latest interviews from RTZ and he said the team try not to be together too much time because problems arise, they are different and can't stand each other for a long time.
Maybe that would also be a solution for NaVi, stop trying so hard with the friendship stuff and start caring about the game itself, like it is in any other sport.

I agree, and I'm pretty sure it was kinda the same atmosphere, professional / working relations over friendhsip, when Puppey was in Navi. I remember Puppey explaining how things can easily go wrong when you become too close to your teammates. Morale and trust are important, but you don't need to spend all your sparetime drinking beers together to act as a team.

It's less hate and more bitterness and disappointment. This is how a Cloud 9 fan would talk if they weren't placing top 4 consistently.
