Biryu from what I remember had no pro team experience, built his own team and took them to a respectable level using his own ideas about the game; I believe that's why EE had/has so much respect for him. Most pros share a lot of information as they rotate around teams and have years of pro experience, so for biryu to get really good without that information is impressive.

Yeah the Dota scene is so weird lol. Next month is like 5 lans, then June is 2 plus major. Yet in April we got naffin

Well we have bunch of qualifiers and ESL One Manila i forget but that is 8 team bo3 single elimination bracket. Not going to be that best tournament but at least is something.

So how about that timing of the patch

We get EG returning to action after a 4 week break and a new team, for a patch to be released 2 days before they start. Oh boy i hope they have computers set up to scrim hardcore whilst in Ukraine.

Couple of tweets i found, PPD mentioning they have been scrimming since probably Monday, even though Suma1l has tweeted 16 hours that he finally made it to WePlay so not sure how that has been going. Fear says he likes the patch but not sure if trolling or what xd

Oh well, guess this lan is gonna be mega interesting!

Also looks like they are staying in Ukraine/Russia for the next 3 weeks, as the WePlay lan is this week then 10 days later it is the Epicenter lan

Storm is potentially viable again which is nice, improved bloodstone starting off with 12 charges and the aghs looks "interesting" to put it nicely could mean that might make a comeback. Suma1l will show us i guess

Now how is Bulba's Earthshaker :3

The interesting bit is going to be the Mids this patch. They nerfed pretty much every viable Mid laner, again (I'm noticing a trend with this), but the Mid Lane meta really was a mess all of 6.86. So something like CM + Storm Spirit wouldn't surprise me for ppd to try. (Especially against a weaker team.) Bloodstone starting with more charges might also adjust things.

Storm's big issue was that his laning and early farm got brutalized by mana nerfs. Maybe if they can work something like a kotl support in it can work again.
