Tolera--> Ex root Gudii ---> Same, has been playing with relic for a while, also known as FanOfSoyeon Durpdurp ->no idea Sleisel --> almost 7k? (i think) player, he's known for being bitchy and not performing up to what he should given his reputation. So they're not bad, but beating EG should be an upset (as in any NA team beating EG lol) Thanks man ![]()

I generally agree with his sentiment that qualifiers should probably be for non tier 1 teams. I think some orgs just want to have NA qualifiers as [random content filler] and really don't want to invite non-EG NA teams which is against the spirit of the thing. The problem is, I read somewhere tournaments make their money from the online qualifiers, and guess who draws people to watch them? It's the top tier big name teams, not nearly as many people would tune in for a match between like NiP and HR, even though both are perfectly respectable teams.

On the other side of that, everyone and their mother was saying hype for tournaments was at an all time low when teams were playing 1-2x a day for a month. There's enough decent t2 teams that yeah, I would watch online quals if they were on. Like the only 100% for sure t1 teams in my mind are EG, TS, Empire in the West. There's plenty of teams outside of that I'd watch.

There's plenty of teams outside of that I'd watch. Putting aside your claim that Empire is a clear T1 team, which I don't agree with, we're the hardcore viewers. I would bet that a regular season game between Barcelona and Real Madrid, or the Patriots and the Giants, or whatever, pulls a lot more viewership than a game between two tier 2 clubs. As for the overloaded schedules(and I agree they are overloaded) leading to lower hype, you have the issue that everyone wants to reduce online qualifiers, but don't want to reduce their own(aka Tragedy of the Commons). I don't really know what the solution there is.

The absolute T1 teams like EG, Secret etc have more than enough weight to do so. EG is the only Western team guaranteed a TI invite regardless of what they do from now on, however. That's problematic in terms of just refusing to play tournaments. Maybe Valve could be more transparent with invites, but that would remove the flexibility so I don't know what the solution might be. PPD's seems best for teams, but it would cut down on viewership hours for sure.

The only ones who dominated them hard was EG, VG almost lost to them. C9 is also invite worthy since despite bone7 trying to throw every single fucking game(except those two NP games where he boned them) they still performed well enough. (secret almost lost to them) HR maybe Empire/NIP/Na'vi debatable. EDIT: oh wait you meant by not doing anything .. yeah eg is guaranteed

Really looking forward to seeing if Sumail can branch out to more heroes in the next few months before TI5. I'm hoping his hero pool doesn't become a liability - really seemed like PPD was drafting around him in most game and I'm sure that's restrictive. He [PPD] said he was going to do a draft analysis soon, looking forward to that.
