Suma1l is soooo good. Feels like Ana constantly needs his team to enable him, while suma1l can do everything on his own.

He did so much for that team, especially the game on Ember, both his other cores underfarmed, below Newbee's lifestealer and DP, didn't matter, he still pulled through.

Congratulations EG!!
So many good drafts and plays from all the boys this weekend!
Sumail was so sick almost every game... insane plays, perfect fighting and always knew when to split, and when to fight.
Special shoutout also to Cr1t. Very stable and good drafting all tournament. And always did his job in the games even tho he was almost playing as ppd some of these games(Dirt poor).

Sumail has been the best player in the world for ages. So long as the team works around him they're the favourites for any tournament.

I think at this point EG are the favorites for TI. Just seeing them improve from tournament to tournament, getting some respect bans for various heroes, and seeing Sumail just go ham every single game feels like seeing a dream-team slowly reach its true potential.

That said, I am worried for one thing: Artour.

He's one of the best players in the world, technically and mechanically top 3 IMO. But I think every game that Sumail goes wild and Artour is sacced (or flubs), he loses a bit of morale and confidence. Now this is all speculation, but even in the games I've seen him play extremely well (let's say his Jugg in game 1 of NP vs EG in Manila), he gets overshadowed by the clutch plays of Sumail and sometimes one of the others. People keep flaming him for feeding or for getting caught out. They don't highlight his great decisions and plays (in several of those game winning fights, it was him going on the right target and omnislashing or focusing a crucial support). And at the end of the day, he's a mid player at heart. He's the guy you want outplaying the opponent and being the focal point of the team. He can be as good as Sumail but his role won't let him, and that can eat at him, I'm sure. Before this team formed, didn't he want to play mid? And he had to sacrifice that because Sumail can't play carry.

So yeah. I hope Artour doesn't take the criticism often levelled at him personally. I still believe he's one of the best players, one of the best mids in the world. And he needs that kind of cocky confidence going into TI.

RTZ is old and experienced enough to understand his role in the team. He didn't tilt after chain feeding with Razor.

He still often farms by himself and teams punish that a lot. I hope he can fix his farming pattern. Alternatively, Crit can give him a tanky hero, so EG can turn the fight after the opponent drops everything on RTZ.

EG remain a cocky and arrogant team. This can be an advantage, but when you see them take fights they absolutely do not need to take (particularly when they have a better scaling lineup) then perhaps lose those fights - those are the games where Arteezy typically goes missing. The Razor and Bristleback picks are encouraging, particularly Razor - RTZ always found a way to make that hero work in the past, and few teams run him well.

Even if this EG succeeds, it still seems like Arteezy and Sumail are players that require the entire team to pivot around them, and only them. There will always be some degree of 'anti-synergy' there, and how EG find ways to make that work that will determine how they go TI. Of course, that is also why I find them interesting team to watch - can they find the right balance; and keep it going over an entire tournament?

To me it feels like teams are drafting vs. Sumail, then playing vs. Arteezy. Like they think if they ban a bunch of Sumail heroes they'll be able to cope with him, so they focus on Arteezy once the game actually starts. Sometimes that's pretty effective and rtz ends up with third networth on his team or whatever (not something you really want from anyone in position 1), but the way EG is drafting and playing makes sure that those games are not definite losses.

Tbh, the most impressive thing about EG in Manilla was the way they decided to engage fights. Against Newbee and NP, I think they disengaged with force staffs, blinks and other mobility tools and re-engaded into a winning teamfight literally every time. They never pressured themselves into engaging because the oppponents went for them.

It would be awesome momentum to win back to back lans and then go to the summit, even if that isnt a win there it's okay, that is more of a relaxed atmosphere before the bootcamping of TI kicks in, team will be on a high and super motivated

They aren't going to The Summit 7, unless they're visiting to cast. (Well, ppd will be there.) EG's next tournament will be MDL in July.

What a shame but I'm still feeling good coming into TI. At least EG won't be the biggest target. PPD master plan lol.

I hope the bootcamp before TI will help them improve more.

So, sumaiL got shutdown hard, and most probably some teams already studying what Liquid did.
The way I see it, it's better to know this sooner rather than later during TI.
