Thorin reads reddit and regurgitates opinions to satisfy an echo chamber. There's nothing in there that's insightful, and I really wish he would stay out of dota2 stuff. | ||

That EG had what was considered the best team and then they changed it? That RTZ is a great player but bad team presence? That AUI is a better 4 than fear? That Universe looked godlike with EG but meh in secret? That not everyone can freely swap between roles and maintain their presence? That these two teams have some of the best talent, but that neither are meshing with their current player squads? That both still have the capacity to be great with more practice? | ||

But the EG lineup from TI5 didn't really have better results than the one after it overall, they "just" won the 2 biggest tournaments. Obviously those count the most but the lineup afterwards was hardly a disaster if you compare to pretty much any other team on the globe, though I'm sure they would have wanted to win a major. And I don't think Fear being a better 4 than Aui in the style they were running him post TI5 is even debatable. Aui had his specific style, but I think Fear was a better fit for a lineup that had Sumail and Arteezy as the two farming cores. | ||

This whole swap was a big fuck up by Secret, and EG had to rush things and made the same mistakes... Im just sad... its so much money in it all, and the teams act so imature... I know its a game, but thats what they said about football or tennis 100 years ago too and they didnt fight for the money these gamers are. | ||

These are all pretty much the most upvoted posts in any of the Secret/EG threads on Reddit in the past 2 days. It took literally 30 minutes of "research" for Thorin to basically do a TLDR of those and post it in video form to cash in on the drama. He offered nothing new to the discussion. Not that he could, anyway. | ||
