GG vs Talon was a good series. Agreed on that. This format does not promote good series in this stage. It is designed to put good vs "mediocre" teams against each other. Honestly think it could be skipped and just run the first elimination stage here instead (in arena I guess).

This second stage kind of feels like they just wanted a little more games between teams of different groups before they get eliminated. The GG Talon series is a little bit of luck too, Talon was really only in this position because they had a really bad Day 1 and there's no tiebreaker games between the second and third place group.

You'd expect seeding at that stage to have mostly good versus mediocre teams as well. No eliminations because there is a lower bracket, but maybe you want to play the first round of lowers and send some people home before they arrive.

I suggest this entire round be skipped and the top 2 from groups go to upper bracket. Bottom 2 to lower bracket. Though more dota is nice. Is Xiao8 playing on NTS's account? SB mid again.

Should have played the entire LBR1 today and LBR2 tomorrow. At least the schedule next week is evened out.

Probably the best performances were from LGD and Liquid. Aside from them Team Spirit is probably in contention. And GG could do a LB run. Don't feel Azure Ray yet, sorry ![]()

Liquid vs GG in a somewhat early lower bracket game was not expected in July of this year but should be fun to watch.

That poor high ground attempt is going to haunt Liquid if it costs them the series.

Void spirit is one of Quin's breakout heroes and the matchup against puck gets really good once he has aghs (although it is tough initially). I also think that mag/shaker are too passive early on for Weaver+WK, we could see how much GG dominated the dire ancients area and a large part of that was that they could connect and fight all the time. To boot it's a spirit hero, he does really well at controlling runes and connecting to a side lane afterwards. Shaker and Mag kinda need items to have a big impact on side lanes, Void spirit only needs lvl 6.

Do you like... GG - best team of the year but had to come all the way through the lower bracket to make it to the final day - and did it.. Team "not a fluke" Spirit? looking for another Aegis Will LGD finally get one (and get y' and xiao8 another)?

Also I enjoyed the panel for the final a lot, Aui and Fear bounced a lot of ideas back and forth, Jerax definitely had some unique insights and Synd asked a bunch of good questions showcasing his experience as a drafter. A bunch of times Dendi wanted to say something meaningful I think and struggled to express it in English, so he fell a bit flat. But then again he's always fun to have. As someone who always feels like draft analysis falls a bit short that was a joy to watch.
