The short answer: The animation is fine for action, but doesn't work when it comes to character emoting during conversation. It is never a huge problem for the first season and they ditch the style during the second season. The show is good.

A question to our tech-savvy folks: I'm thinking about upgrading my PC, my current spec is as follows: motherboard: Gigabyte GA-B150M-D3H processor: Intel Core i5-6500 GPU: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 960 Windforce 2X 4GB GDDR5 (128 bit) 2x DVI, HDMI, 3x DP (GV-N960WF2OC-4GD) RAM: Kingston HyperX FURY 8GB (2x4GB) DDR4 2133MHz CL14 Power Supply: Antec VP500 500W Two main things i want to do is get more RAM (at least up to 16GB) and get a 1080ti card if possible. Any recommendations for specific models that will fit into my current motherboard etc.? Sorry if this is very specific but i don't know shit about PC parts.

Though admittedly I don't know how well Anthem will sell. For all I know it could be a resounding financial success, and let's be real, a good deal of people really don't care about reviews and just want something popular to play with their friend. EA will be happy, and BioWare will continue to live. Though when even YouTubers aren't having many positive things to say, I don't think this will be a big seller, especially with so much competition right now in Destiny 2 and Warframe, and hell, even Apex Legends. The game seems acceptable if it wasn’t buggy, slow loading and poorly optimized. That and the demo period, which had to be driven by some business person wanting to create a pre-order bonus that the studio didn’t have the resources for given the tight deadline. I don’t know about bioware. Companies like EA and Activision seem to be designed to drive all talent from the studios to please share holders who just want stuff to ship and everything to use frostbite for no real reason. I remember when mass effect was good and that was on the Unreal engine. The general consensus is that Anthem was likely crafted by corporate meddling more than a dev team that had passion for the product. The game has combat that feels good and graphically is top-notch, but the content is dull as wet cardboard and may as well be procedurally generated with MMO-esque objectives. Funnily enough I heard they've really upped the facial animations, probably in response to ME:A, but the story is just awful.

I'll try my best to give some general advice, as I've just build my new gaming rig and am quite fresh into digging around. But first, answer theses questions: 1) what games 2) on what resolution 3) with what target framerate 4) with what kinda budget?

If that falls below expectations, BioWare could be buried in the EA graveyard of "underperforming" studios. Though admittedly I don't know how well Anthem will sell. Everyone who was writing interesting stories left Bioware after mass effect and no one wants to take on the subjects they did in Mass Effect. Who know, like a fleet of refugees that everyone thinks are thieves or disease ridden because they dress in encounter suits? Jason Schreier is going over his previous coverage of the game and it paints a pretty clear picture of a project designed to please share holders and pushed out the door to early for fear of scaring share holds. EA management isn’t going to be able to run from the narrative they did this to the game but not giving Bioware the time to put out a polished product.
