First things first, if you upgrade, no matter GPU oder CPU, I'd get rid of the power supply (PSU) and get a decent one. Depending on the final build, I suggest at least 500ish W and a decent brand and line. Should keep you safe even with overclocking the setup below. I'd say just upgrading the GPU won't really see you enjoying AAA games at 60fps, as they're starting to be more and more Core intensive and you're sitting on a 4/4 core/threads CPU. And not even that high of a clock speed at 3.6 GHz. Examples of Core intensive games are metro:exodus, AC:Origins and Odyssey, Tomb Raider, Battlefield V, PUBG (I think?) The low clock speed of my ryzen 1600 (unless I overclock with ryzen master) does show in Odyssey, making me fall to aroud 42 fps in some areas (GPU not at 90% load all the while), and Grim Dawn will also occasionally tank in framerate as well, due to the weak single core performance. On the other hand, others games like Far Cry 5, Fallout 4, don't really give a shit about more than 4 cores, especially not in the 60fps region. Though as we're talking about upcoming AAA titles, I'd say you'd need more than just a 4/4 CPU clocked at 3.6, even if only for said 60fps. Regarding the GPU, I'd say on FHD @ 60 FPS a 1080 TI is wasted potential, especially if you're not planning to crank everything up to 11, so if you wanna dig as deep into the pocket for a GPU, I'd either go for a deal on a 2080TI for the lulz (and the secret 4k dream) or just go for a 2080 to enjoy the sweet RT and DLSS (go read that advertorial and be amazed). Finding a 1080ti might be like finding the needle in a haystack at the moment, due to low availability anyway. All in all, for the games, resolution, budget, framerate target as well as graphic quality aspirations, personally, I would build something like this: B450 motherboard ~60-90 € 2600x for the easy build-in overclock ~190€ good CPU air cooler - 30€ 16GB ram @3200 ~120 € 500W PSU ~ 60 € (80+ Gold) -90 € (80+ Platinum) RTX 2070 or ~ 500€ _______________________________- roundabout 1,000€ you can shave off 40 odd bucks if you go for the 2600 and overclock manually or shell out 120 more for the 2700x. But for 60fps... no, not quite worth it. Intels just are atrociously expensive at the moment, as are the nvidia cards :-/

I'm not in a hurry to get a new rig since my current setup is enough for now, but I'll definitely do some more digging on this.

Although if you're gonna stay on 1080p/60hz it's overkill and you would be fine with a 2060 but honestly if you really want to ++ your gaming experience you should upgrade display to at least 144hz and potentially 1440p as well, in which case the 2080 makes a lot more sense...of course we are now talking about $1500 for gpu+monitor lol but hey these are the times we live in

If you stay in queens but you stay close to the G and L then it's pretty easy to get to both Brooklyn (via the G) and Manhattan (via the L) and it's probably cheaper. If you stay in queens but it's not close to those subway lines then getting around is wayy harder. There are plenty of reasonable places in Brooklyn as well I think. If you send me places you're looking at I can offer opinions. Google maps is pretty good about routing you via the subway so if you have a sense of the places that you're trying to go then you should be able to use it to determine whether getting there via subway from your place is feasible.

It is awesome that the Executives at Xbox have the Git Gud Gamer crowd in mind. I mean, come on. Shitting on video game reviewers because they are not pro-gamers so early 2000s. We live in a post Gerstmann gate where we know most reviews are given 3 days to play through an entire game. Video games continue to be dumb and the people who work for video game companies continue to do the dumbest shit.

A system that the game never teaches you because its fucking Anthem, a white hot mess being kicked out of the plane. And then he tells people it isn’t out until Friday and has a day one patch. The god damn game has been out for a week, I don’t care what EA calls that early access program. It is awesome that the Executives at Xbox have the Git Gud Gamer crowd in mind. I mean, come on. Uh, I feel like the game DOES tell you that your shit combos, either that or it was just something I noticed while I used my ultimate ability in the Storm or whatever the warlock suit was.

It tells you when it happens. It doesn't every overtly articulate why it happens or what abilities combo with what abilities.
