What connotation of the phrase is someone even shooting for when they write that? He said it was satirical, which is the political equivalent of "I got hacked" I guess. Problem is, satire is supposed to be funny.

So thinly sliced but oh so forceful in taste. And delicate. A pleasure, I'm sure eieio would've approved of that pickle!

I'm still playing it, I find it to be the best digital card game made so far honestly
Only thing I'd complain about at the moment would be that I wish we could play draft against friends casually

I'd love to know how then, we haven't found a way to draft decks like in phantom draft against eachother
I love playing against friends but at the same time my favourite mode is draft

you just host a tournament (need at least 4 people I think?) and then you can set whatever rules you want. redraft after every round or w/e. It's a lot of fun

I only have 2 friends that play artifact atm I think :/

Artifact seems like an idea that works on paper, but the pay to win aspects of CCGs might not scale to the global nature of video games and a digital market place. It works for physical card games because the pool of players in a physical space is finite. And if one of them goes over and shells out $50 for a ton of bad ass cards, you can just ask him not to use his high roller deck. I have a bunch of problems with Hearthstone, but they managed to avoid this by not allowing for trading.

Artifact works fine outside of paper lol.
Buying every single card in artifact is cheaper than buying packs to unlock a single hearthstone expansion. And you don't need to buy every single card in artifact, you can buy just the ones you want. It's literally cheaper to make a fun gimmicky deck in artifact than it is to buy just a few packs in hearthstone.
Hearthstone has an even worse issue where you can get completely fucked with the packs you open. Oh you bought backs or used your gold on packs and only got the shitty meme legendaries and none of the good epics needed for the good decks? Guess you'll be trashed on the ladder unless you dust your shitty cards at an incredibly shitty ratio to craft what you actually want.
+ Draft mode is free to play all you want in artifact, compared to arena always costing gold in hearthstone.
Blizzard makes sure to make a lot of tech-cards in hearthstone epics, for a very specific reason. Because they're a huge fucking dust drain.

Problem with artifact is there just isn't a lot of incentive to play it other than that its a good game, and for some reason that's not enough.

And if my friends aren't on I have the drafts. But yeah seems like people nowadays need meaningless bells and whistles to unlock as they play.

Again, I used to buy netrunner packs and you get screwed over by them too. But it didn't matter that much because there was no one in the store dropping $100 to get a sick running/corp deck. And if that person existed, no one would want to play with them.
From the folks I know who play CCGs, the Artifact feels like it was designed to carter to the shittest players we used to play Magic/Netrunner/Doomtown with back in day. That might not be the true reality, but that is how a lot of folks I know feel about the game. And these are people who play or judge pro-magic.

Artifact feels like a console/mobile game to me, but right now it is pc only which makes it feel like a beta game.
