Whats the point of money anyways? I either spend it on expensive improvements to my fishing business or I pay assloads of taxes on it. bleh

Say I make a ton of money this year, like 5x what I need to live off for a year, then I will use it to buy a boat, accrue a bunch of debt and have pressure to make even more money and work even harder for the next 5 years. On the other hand if I have a bad year and make say 1.5x what I need to live off for a year, then I will 'happily' be a 30 year old video game playing bum for another year.

Like once you make enough to live off, its kind of just a big burden. But im phenomenally unmotivated by money so don't listen to me probably. And I spent the entire winter judging how bad a day was not by whether I thought about killing myself but whether I picked up a gun or not, so I def need to figure out some purpose for existence Im just not convinced making more money is it. Current life aint cutting it tho. (Most of my friends think that going into debt to buy a nice boat and put more pressure on myself would be the best thing that happened to me fwiw)

Aspirations are important!

Also getting any payback from working is important. Taxes cut into that yeah but having shit that you enjoy in life is gud.

I constantly have to remind myself to make time for shit that results in long-term enjoyment and not just instant gratification. Gamer life, so hard.

maybe start saving up money to travel or something, could be a decent goal to work towards, not really much of an existential purpose but i'd assume everyone would like to go travel and experience different places etc at some point so it's definitely something that could be worked towards imo

it's part of the recent privacy changes, presumably due to the new data protection regulations that are incoming. you can now hide what games you play and their hours etc...
