As someone who is on your level, yes play more. Also just play heroes you are not good with and try to figure them out. You improve more when you force yourself out of your comfort zone, which means biting the bullet and playing Chen or enchantress in a 2K game. Or playing storm or timbersaw for the first time and being sad.

Thats the thing, you need to push yourself and learn to storm. Learning new things makes you better at all things in Dota.
