streaming is a short-term career, but it's very profitable.

I think he leaked on a drunk stream that he made like 220k over an 8 month period of streaming in 2014. HEHEHE.

I'd say streaming is a lot like stripping. highly lucrative but you can't do it forever, so cash in, save/invest/grow and move on when your time is up. If these streams try to live a 300k/yr lifestyle, I think they'd be in big trouble in a couple of years. If they save and invest properly, they could be more or less setup for life.

Pretty sure it's only Amaz that consistently pulls more viewers than him in topdeckmoba. dig around and find out how much datguylirik makes, it will make your head explode. I think hes the #1 twitch guy overall and has a healthy youtube channel as well.

that's $437.5 a day just from subs and then you count all the donations he easily makes like $650+ a day, and that's just an average day when the kids go nuts and do some subtrain/donation train i can easily see a streamer breaking $1500+ a day ez granted we don't see this as much with dota 2 cause for some reason our streaming community doesn't conform to the rest of twitch which i'm actually happy about, but there's also less consistent streamers.

I just mean you can't take literally one of the top streamers out there and be like omg why didn't I stream forsen so rich~ without looking at the thousands of other people that have tried exactly that and failed lol It's just like wondering why you didn't become a pro-gamer because you could win TI, or didn't start a startup because you coulda been instagram or whatever

like obviously league is more popular in general but on average it seems like there are *way* more decent league streams on at any given time than dota, well beyond the fact that the game is just more popular

Of course black is still on the higher echelon of twitch streamers overall even if hes not Trump/Forsen/Lirik/Kripp level, but it still highlights you can make serious money even if you aren't a top 10 streamer.
