There is no way we are refinancing, as our interest rate is really low and we mostly just use the mortgage to deal with property tax and home owners insurance. I would rather be playing dota right now than dealing with the after math of this jury trial. Its going to come soon and I am not ready for 4 attorneys asking me to do shit right away.

I'm looking to buy a house right now so I've been following it fairly closely. is that when the fed is going to raise the prime rate their policies can make huge splashes but outside of that, market sentiment dictates the general rates. the overall trend for the last week has gone upwards, rates went up a quarter over that period. you can either gamble and hope it goes down before the fed makes their move, or you can attempt a purchase now. my rough guess is that it won't go down for another month?

Yeah, I would expect some splashing around a bit in about a month. I might not make it, but I've already been pre-approved etc., just have to fight the right place and seal the deal. I hope it won't take more than a couple months at most.

We settle in a month. the months of dec-jan were great times to lock rates i'm not sure if this week is just a rough patch that will settle down in a week, or if it's an actual trend. with oil prices predicted to go up over the next month and overall volatility it's hard to say. on that note i will definitely miss filling up my tank for < $30

Nice little duplex. No garage but a nice back porch and a shed. I do not look forward to mortgage payments.
