Wired would totally be an option, if I had the money for some new crimpers and 15 feet of raw cat5e and the patience to figure out how to repair a cut cat5 wire. (there used to be a wire running to this room that my parents just decided to cut because... they didn't know what it was for. but one end piece is still totally intact and the other is extant with its RJ45 hacked off). Unfortunately I'm unemployed and have maybe 5$ total to my name. Also, what thread should I actually be asking this question in? | ||

the "poor network conditions detected" bit is based on many people lagging simultaneously or the server borking etc. Wired is always preferable although i don't know the first thing about repairing ethernet cable. I too wire to a router that goes wireless to another router which actually provides my internet. | ||

Farcry 4 is like farcry 3, but with better, less racist writing and more stuff. Plus you hunt rhinos with a rocket launcher and ride elephants. Just more mobility and more fun weapons. If you like open world games, Infamous is very good and a lot of fun. Its basicly a 3rd person shooter with really cool moment and super powers instead of guns. | ||

Just wondering about the option in the dota 2 menu. As for repairing ethernet wire I could do it but uh... I don't have a soldering iron and the other solution is jerry-rigged to the extreme with some tied together exposed copper wires... If the transmitter on the primary router were stronger it would work out OK, I actually hit low 1900 (my highest) in HoN with just a USB wireless adapter and a different primary router. Main issue is that there's tons of interference from like, neighbors and random household stuff - if someone calls the house phone it literally kills my internet. Which is funny but not really a huge problem. Can change SSID but that hasn't really been effective (not ssid wireless channel I mean) | ||

I think he's talking about the option in settings that you set network quality to either "low" or "high" | ||

Honestly for PS4 at the moment I don't see too many games that I'm excited about. I got mine last January and I have less than 10 games. Looking forward to the new Kingdom Hearts and FFXV/Type-O. I guess assassins creed is generally fun, maybe try that. | ||
