Meanwhile, however, across the convention floor, another drama storm was brewing. Some members of the 4chan /mlp/ community had expressed their intention to stage “Operation SpaghettiCon 2013”. For those unfamiliar with the term, essentially the “spaghetti everywhere” is just the surreal conclusion of an otherwise unbearably awkward situation. With so many bronies packed together into such a small place, /mlp/ clearly suspected that the amount of awkward situations would skyrocket, so they opted to bring their own pre-cooked spaghetti to commemorate the occasions and maybe even stage a few awkward moments of their own.

Some popular /mlp/ posters, like PVL host “Capper General”, were in on the whole situation too, but just for the hilarity of living out an actual “spaghetti” situation in person. While the community had posted about throwing spaghetti at people or pouring it on them, Capper and his bunch had no intention of doing this, and instead intended to harmlessly spill it on the floor near awkward situations, cleaning it up shortly afterward.

A few members of the community did not find this funny at all. In particular, DustyKatt, the “Manliest Brony in the World” and co-host of Everfree’s Stay Brony My Friends, was outraged by this revelation. At one point on Saturday, he found Capper eating some of the cooked spaghetti he had been carrying around, and responded very aggressively, flinging obscenities and threatening violence if any incidents happened involving said spaghetti. Security was alerted of this aggression, and opted to disregard the complaint and not pursue it further.

Absent any corrective action, Dusty continued this spaghetti crusade throughout the rest of the convention, cursing out people who approached him with “SpaghettiCon 2013” posters that had been made by BronyCon founder and 4chan celebrity Purple Tinker, and eventually outright assaulting convention goers who dropped spaghetti near him. You can’t make this stuff up, folks.
