Transportation costs a lot of money.

I'm not hoping for good public transportation between states or even between intra-state cities. i think bad public transportation has to do with america's tradition of car driving and individuality more than anything. sounds cliche and dumb but im pretty sure those are the two biggest factors.

once upon a time, america actually had great public transportation but then the auto companies realized that its more profitable for them to buy out the public transit and kill them

It always comes with a new socket, so you can't upgrade from a mobo you could currently buy. The big problem apart from node shrinkage becoming harder and harder to accomplish is the fact that there's basically a monopoly in both the cpu and gpu market since amd isn't capable to compete at anything but the entry level in the consumer space. I'd bet you loads of money that intel could easily produce a significantly better cpu right now, but there's really no reason to. So they just stick to their 5-10% IPC gain per new release cycle. well skylake is still the same broadwell architecture iirc on paper the dieshrink should net you ~10-20% performance for same wattage and processor size, so you can decide if you want to wait & shell out extra $ on the same tangent from what I've experienced gaming laptops are the stupidest things you're paying $X amount for a gtx980m when it performs marginally worse than a gtx780 i know it's stupid to compare mobile chips to desktop ones, but if you're using the thing as a desktop replacement, the chips are underclocked and have a low thermal ceiling. I'd rather buy a pc with parts from last year than a new gaming laptop, and save up for an chromebook/ultrabook/macbook air if you really want computing on the go No, broadwell is the die shrink of haswell, skylake is the new thing. z_z

I want another SSD, my current one is only 128 GB and it has like 10 GB's left. I have a lot of games on my harddrive because they can't fit. The important ones are on my SSD tho.

People love the idea of more trains, but hate the idea that they might have to listen to their neighbor state on how they will be made.

Also, having a desktop and a cheapo ultrabook-ish laptop or a tablet is clearly the superior solution unless you live in a dorm where people steal your stuff and you have to lock it somewhere. :D

I'm currently on a gtx 760 with an i5-4670. Might contemplate upgrading to a 970 in the coming months since I currently only get about 40-45 fps with all settings on minimum in Witcher 3.
